DLee had a chance to be the hero of this game twice. In the 8th and 10th I believe. GDP and a strikeout. Get the ball into the air and the Cubs win. Its now the 11th and Cubs look to have dropped their 4th in a row. OUch--

I'm sure the Phillies (and I) thought with the Mets playing three at the Brewers, and the Phillies playing three at the Nationals, that the Phillies could make up a game or two, not lose a game or two in the standings.

When Cards jumped out to a lead last night with Wainwright pitching, it was a different feeling, I'm sure shared by all of us, that Cards would win the game. That's a feeling that hasn't been there in 2008 for good reason since Wainwright was injured and Carpenter couldn't pitch. Maybe it was there early on with Lohse when he pitched very well but even then he tended to give up some part of his...

Hi Everybody, I only know how the Braves are doing when I check the scores later at night. I did listen to part of last night's game on the radio, but when the Braves gave up the leaf after they were ahead 10-3, I just turned it off, was surprised to see this morning that they finally won that weird game. Of course, they lost agaain today, just sad how bad they have played. Mark doesn't ...

Even as we go into our 3rd consecutive non-playoff season we are still the kings of the East. It will be quite awhile before anyone in the East catches up to us in division crowns (since we joined the east) Btw, the Phils are taking the division this year. You guys don't have what it takes. The Mets will always be a joke of an organization.

Granted that pro-rating a guy after 27 games is the iffiest of propositions...and yet it can show potential. If you pro-rate him over a 162 game season, here is how he comes out: 588 at bats 156 hits 42 doubles 36 homers 66 RBI 306 total bases 72 walks 156 strikeouts .351 OBP .265 batting average IF he could actually do that over a whole season, I would...

Is Jon Niese fated to play for the Mets and be a part of the next(I hope soon) World Series win the Mets have. His birthday is 10/27/1986. If you do not know what that date is go ahead and look it up. One of lifes odd little coincedences but still fun to kick around.

Let me start by saying I am in no way claiming Manuel to be the savior here. But lets speak truths, Manuel's experience (and that is not Willie's fault that he had none) shines greatly in comparison to Willie. People on the board claim he's a great baseball guy, but really, Willie really didn't have knowledge of situations, which is peculiar considering his playing time and coaching ...
