It may be harder to sell later. It's possible your insurance agent won't like it. But, assuming the work was done well, why not? You gonna ride it into the ground or keep it for a year? I've has several totaled trucks, and they were rebuilt with good parts and quality labor. I've put 150k on a truck that was totaled at 90k with minimal maintenance.

For big ticket used items, I try http://ktmtalk.com classified section. Always an awesome deal or two there. For OEM, I use http://ktmworld.com or http://ktm-parts.com For aftermarket I will use Amazon or oemcycle.com or froogle.com searches.

In my case its a kick back for all the ignorant bastards on bike twice as old as mine with a fraction of the miles and 130 sqaure feet of gleaming chrome asking me when I'm going to "get a real bike" knowing good and damned well that Mr. Cubical Jockey that is dressed up like a demented viking on acid can't change his own brakes much less do any real work to his bike. That was civil...right?
