BAJA - Definately an adventure BAJA April 25 – May 4, 2008 While surfing BDS (BendDualSport.com) I came across a post from a guy who stated that he was looking for a couple more guys for an upcoming trip to BAJA. This was way back in late December or early January. I had always wanted to make the trek south of the boarder and even more so...

I'm all for motorcycle safety, but I find headlight modulators distracting During lunch today, I was headed back to school from the local Taco Bell with a small plastic bag full of delicious mock-Mexican cuisine. As I was approaching my turn, there was a motorcycle going the opposite direction and I could tell from the reaction from the cage...

It has started. The U.S. Transportation Secretary, Mary Peters, wants to pull funding from rider training and awareness and put it toward mandatory helmet laws. In the articles the AMA rep mentions the effects on training already in place and that the programs are underfunded now. http://www.amadirectlink.com/news/2008/fedfunding. asp Motorcyclist has a similar article. http://...

Quote: Cindy McCain Flaunts Her Privilege By Joe Conason Double standards are endemic in American journalism. But Cindy McCain, wife of the Republican presidential candidate, displayed poor taste in flaunting her family's special immunity from press scrutiny. This unit is about 9 years old and has been drained for the past year. Everything mechanical works fine, heater, filter pump, lights and ozone sanitizer. It could use a new cover but the original is functional. Some minor insulation missing, squirrel I think, but that could be replaced with a can of "Great Stuff". Perfect size for one to three people. http://www.hotspring.com/Spa_Showroo......

Last week I had the opportunity to visit out Arizona , Nevada , and CA for the first time. To make a long story short, my wife and I flew to Phoenix , AZ. We rented a car and drove to Sedona, the Grand Canyon, and then Vegas, stopping at Hoover Dam on the way. I wasn’t going to let this be a “Bike Free” vacation. I originally hoped to rent an enduro bike ...

Actually not totally new, but it seemed worse today when I took the bike for a few laps around the neighborhood after doing a little checking and tweaking as a followup to Saturday's ride to St. Aug. & back - only the second longish outing for this bike and the first where it ran sustained Interstate speeds for a couple of hours. The sound is a clanking that sounds like thinner metal - kind ...
