I still get the job to build all our engines at the house when the time comes. Dad is working on a car now. 79 Merc Zephyr, uses all Mustang GT parts except I think we're...

Day one - Vioolsdrif to Canõn Roadhouse
The happy family, ready to go.
Vioolsdrif is on the Orange river, the Orange river is the border between South Africa and Namibia. It looks like this.
Embarrassingly the wife’s DRZ runs out of fuel as we enter the Namibian border control, and we have to lie it on the ground to get the last dregs from the non petcock ...

According to Erik Buell, yes. If you want one, now is probably the time to get it. FWIW they are not too hard to work on either.

It may be harder to sell later.
It's possible your insurance agent won't like it.
But, assuming the work was done well, why not? You gonna ride it into the ground or keep it for a year?
I've has several totaled trucks, and they were rebuilt with good parts and quality labor. I've put 150k on a truck that was totaled at 90k with minimal maintenance.

For big ticket used items, I try http://ktmtalk.com classified section. Always an awesome deal or two there.
For OEM, I use http://ktmworld.com or http://ktm-parts.com
For aftermarket I will use Amazon or oemcycle.com or froogle.com searches.

In my case its a kick back for all the ignorant bastards on bike twice as old as mine with a fraction of the miles and 130 sqaure feet of gleaming chrome asking me when I'm going to "get a real bike" knowing good and damned well that Mr. Cubical Jockey that is dressed up like a demented viking on acid can't change his own brakes much less do any real work to his bike.
That was civil...right?

Anyone interested in getting together to do some rides?
Just had in mind some simple meet/eat and ride on a SAT or Sunday type rides. A little street and as much dirt as we can find.
