Health Care Reform .....DISASTER...
Published (2009-11-21 22:58:00)
On individual issues, however, the public is pro-reform. A sampling: 89 percent would forbid insurance companies from cutting off coverage after a person becomes sick; 77 percent support providing subsidies so that low and middle-income American can buy insurance. 83 percent would prohibit health insurance companies from refusing coverage based on a patient's medical history. 80 percent would...

Health Care Reform .....DISASTER...
Published (2009-11-21 22:36:00)
Fact: Many poor Americans will not be able to afford health care after either of the Democrat bills are enacted into law! One clear contrast between the bills is how much help the government would give people who have to buy coverage. The bills all include subsidies for people making up to 400% of the poverty level, or around $73,000 for a family of three. The measures are designed to cap the share of income people spend on...

Published (2009-11-21 13:58:00)
A few disgruntled former members complained about a Group, and within a day or two it was put in "Pending Review" status .. where it remains at least 2 months later. A Group Owner announced recently they were leaving Online Community, and the Group(s) they Owned went into "Pending Review" status immediately. 2 WEEKS AGO, I SENT A REQUEST TO COMMUNITY HOST THAT 3 GROUPS I OWN BE...

" tort reform " 'saves' a maximum of 1.5% of costs, and that meager savings is absorbed by the Doctor himself (OBVIOUS - they're all just BUSINESSMEN today, not professionals, or they wouldn't complain) rather than ever passed on - even to the insurer , and SO much less so, to the patient. We should be GLAD (as are all the other...

Since these beautiful pictures of Arizona's Petrified Forest were added to the group today, I decided to reprint my post on the subject from last July. My most memorable time on Route 66 was up at the Petrified Forest. I was invited to participate in a government project to test the impact horses would have, if allowed to be ridden out in the Petrified Forest. A forest ...

2, 074-page piece of legislation -- NO a piece of garbage.
Anything that took 2000 pages should have been dumped from the start. I doubt if any of Congress has read them they depend on others.

OMG - a news organization that used file footage!! Sounds like a dastardly right-wing nutjob plot to me!
You failed to mention that FOX broadcast an on-air apology early the next day - several times!

I can't imagine why some people think Obama has to follow the same path as former leaders.
The man is his own man and I appreciate a man who can stir up a government who hasn't worked! You don't bail out financial institutions when they lie and cheat. No, giving bonuses/payoffs to people is the biggest WELFARE FRAUD ever and it needs to stop. The taxpayers should not have to foot the sleezy ...

They must be very sad people indeed.
You got it in one, Werner. I relented last night, in response to another's post and posted a couple of humorous items. It was interesting to see who was able to step outside their rigid politics for a few minutes to respond. Be warned, last night was not an isolated instance.

" having others support you. "
is neither the definition of Social Democracy, nor even of socialism
- which, btw just like Capitalism, is only a PURE term used to describe PART of EVERY society or economy.
Even suggest pure (" Free Market") Capitalism, and you get a FAR more severe version of what, having experimented with partial deregulation, we're experiencing in this ...

The left wing radical socialists are VERY scared of Sarah Palin. They will continue to attempt to destroy her. But, she is winning the hearts and minds of the real citizens of the United States. Their continued attempts to destroy her will only make the real citizens continue to like her.

Nancy,
The author Richard Montanari is a new name to me; I also like mysteries set in Philadelphia... I'll definitely look this guy up and thanks!
I am enjoying Dead Even by Brad Meltzer very much, althought I'm not sure if Spinner would like this mystery since a lot of it has a courtroom setting. I like his writing style also... it is a little like David Baldacci, ...

No one has ever proven. scientifically, definitively, as without question what the percentage of change in planetary trends are due primarily as a result of.
Intelligence, logic and prudence dictates that one assume that human actions are making a significant difference, unless one believes in reilgious miracles, or that science will suddenly manage an advance that would normally take a ...
