OK, I know our friends to the north celebrated about 6 weeks ago, and not sure what the equivalent is overseas...but I figure taking a few moments to reflect on things to be thankful for should be somewhat universal. Here's a small list of mine: I am thankful for... ...a wife who loves, respects & honors me ...my three wonderful children ...my mom and dad who are both still alive and (reasonably) well ...my faith ...my home ...my...

hmm... i would look for changes in the stock wiring windwaiver . buy a Haynes manual and trace things through, it has all the correct diagrams in. The original system works fine. Its just the TTS that hasn't stood the test of time. The good thing about putting a ground switch in Parrnell with the TTS (Throttle switch or dash mounted) is... if the TTS decides to work all well and good. Having the switch means your not gona get stranded...

Won`t do any good since the thread sizes are different. 2.0L engines are M10x1 whereas the 2.5L is M14x1.5 IIRC. Definitely much larger anyway and I presume the 3.0 is too. Try egauges.com as they carry a large range of compatible senders (VDO) at good prices.

whhahah what a dumbass. I really love people who break taps and drills in their #### up studs/bolts. I never NEVER will use a tap for this stuff, for the reason that IF they break, which they tend to do, you're in deeper shit than you were before. Then you start drilling the tap out, then your hardened drill breaks too and you start crying. Especially on cylinderheads it's fun when people let their skills loose. Sometimes involves a...

Ok, time for a update. Since I only have jackstands to work with and no lifter, I decided to drive my car to a professional care. I felt uncomfortable trying to remove all that turbo stuff under the car, there isn't enoght space for me. So now www.elferklassik.com ( http://www.aarnioracing.fi/Porschehuolto.htm ) is going to do the work for me. They are professionals.
I called them ...

My tach worked the first time or two I started it up, but hasn't since. I figured that the tach just died so I replaced it. didn't work, so I replaced that one. This one doesn't work, so I now know that it's not the tach itself but instead the signal coming to the tach. Where is the tach getting its signal?

Are we talking 924? -or "sxc"? -Or is that tweety code for "sexy"?
Several years ago, my 931s' steering suddenly went stiff. All it needed was a few drops of oil externally on the steering shaft u-joints. It's been good since (~5 years).

Holy smokes my peeps - what's with all the 931-specific Q's in General Discussions lately? Can we get back to using 931 Tech?
If it is a valve seal problem, you should be able to make it smoke while driving.. Use " engine braking" to increase vacuum - if leaky seals are the problem, this should pull some oil past them. -Then accelerate and watch out back for smoke.

I'm looking for my future wheels for the 931GT. I'm considering a blacked out look but I want a very workman style wheel and they need to be wide. 8s up front and 9s in the back with a nice deep center. Both the 8s and the 9s can have an offset of 10, maybe even more in the back because I can always pull the 21mm spacer and replace with a smaller one.
With a good lowering plus the ...

I'm not a American car person, but I have to say they did a good job on it. I was surprised to look out my window this morning to see a silver one parked in front of my apartment building (not an rs). I really like the oil press/batt/(whatever else that is) meters on the center console.

I did the cis pressure tests on the unit. Starts fine cold, pressure is limited to 1.5 bar then increases to 3 to 4 once heated up. Holds almost 2 bar for 20 minutes after shutdown.
Will restart without problem for about 20 minutes. After the fuel pressure bleeds off, starting it like it started before i replaced the warm up regulator.

Got the engine back together and fired her up today. Let her run for a few minuets to get the coolant up to temp so I could bleed all of the air out of the system. I shut it off and it was dark outside and I look in the engine bay to find a red hot cherry exhaust manifold. I took my IR thermometer and figured out it was 450 degrees. I havent timed my engine yet but its idleing at about 950 rpm. ...

if you are easily offended dont read this one, it is a yankee joke.
This trucker was taking a load of bowling balls to the states, but he was
driving through a neighbourhood and ended up hitting a black kid on a bike.
Well he ended up panicing and threw the unconsious child into the back with
the bowling balls.
Well he got to the border and the border guard told him to go inside and he
did. A ...
