QUOTE('Porsche Rescue' 'Apr 6 2006 @ 07:12 PM') I think I have two or threecars posted here which I no longer own. Decided it was time to show off the"Bumble Bee Racer". I just finished painting/striping the front and rearbumpers to better blend with the overall paint scheme (subtle isn't it!).You get to see three shots since I am so pleased with the new look. It hasa fresh 2.7 with Webers, ...

While responding to another thread, I was thinking about how I could give back to the people who serve our country. I came up with this: Brad Roberts Automotive Group will give ALL veterans wholesale pricing + 3% (to cover transactions fees) I'll also throw in FREE shipping of parts under 10lbs. I want to give back to those who have served our country. You can contact us ...

A questions was asked of me last night that I could not answer (while standing in front of a 9146 restoration) Anyone have pics of a 9146GT and how its lights are mounted? These are the large foglights that mount through the horn grills. Thanks! B

I have a 75 1.8 and it look likes my right rear control arm bracket is rusted through. Is it possible to get this piece welded and will this really screw up my alighment?

I have had a problem with a hunting idle for a long time. Everyone had told me it was a vacuum leak, but I was never able to find one. I bought a full D-Jet (from 2.0 1976 as is my car) off of E-bay and started switching out parts to try and solve it. I replaced the breather, intake plenum and throttle body and nothing improved. I then changed the decel valve and there was no change. I...

Well, after thinking about this for probably three years, I finally am doing it. Introducing the Teenster ™ Here is the tub prior to any work. I did strip the F/R suspension with the direction of putting up on a rotisierre, but I needed to fix up the front bumper attachment points on both side first...gotta love salt. The rest of the tub has nothing major, just alot of little rust repair ...

Hello. I am looking to trade the stock transmission I have in my car now and a re-built (under1000 miles) transmission with new parts, for a transmission that has power and torque down low for a buick V-6 engine. A V-8 trans. Should work. Perhaps, if you are qualified to re-gear my trans. and take out of car and put back in, this would be a adequate compensation for a transmission ??? Can ...

Hello everyone, Just wanted say thanks for all your thoughts and prayers since I've been deployed to Iraq. It was a very successful deployment and things have gotten so much better since my last three deployments here. Upon my return next month, after settling in with the family again, I will finish my 74 resto, engine, windshield and wiring then begin the 75 I picked up right before ...

My current truck is a 1999 Dodge Ram with 177,000 miles on it and it is paid off of course. I’m on my second engine (short block) and tranny. Last Thursday I driving to work and a big BANG happens and it dies. I know that the harmonic balancer broke off from the crankshaft. The crankshaft is damaged to some degree but the engine still turns over so the crank is not broken. What caused this ...

When cutting off the windshield and putting in a cage, what is the rational for leaving the targa bar in place? If you have a main hoop tied to the sides and it has an angle brace within the main hoop, is there a good reason to keep the targa bar? Rich

Got my 2316-210 kit today. Wife called and said the Fedex truck driver just keeps unloading big boxes out of the truck. Going to be a long day here at work for sure. Do I need to start a motor build geek thread? Already prepped the case with the full flow oil plug thing. Cleaned it up and washed it out. Man them aluminum shavings get everywhere. Just need to clearance the case now that ...

I have a set of Centerline rims that I would like to put on my car. I went through the lugs nuts that I had. I have 14 that need studs, the studs I don't have. I have two that are studs, but they don't fit the wheels, lol. Do you know what I have to do to put the studs in (do I have to take the rotors off)? centerline_rims.jpg ( 93.5K ) Number of downloads: 0 lug_nuts_1...
