Looks like you're already getting it replaced, good choice, I agree with everyone else here. Since it isn't just some old winter beater, it's much better to have the peace of mind that it will be repaired, rather than being worried about what he's going to do to your car for $750.00.

Wow.. umm I would guess that the professionals are obviously replacing the hood as mentioned, then painting, but they want it to be perfect so they will need to paint-match/blend the fenders into it... Your friend is probably going to bang it out, and then bondo sand prep and paint. You will probably notice a difference, however if you find the right body shop they should be able to blend and paint match the hood to the fenders without having...

I'm almost wondering if that car would be written off.
I'm sure for the price of the car and that there is no significant damage aside from Upholstery and electrical. The Chassis is salveageable (whats to rust, aren't these aluminum chassis?
Paint can be cleaned up. Mechanical and electrical can be replaced and an engine rebuilt or replaced...

You missed out about a year ago. There was a mint Del Sol at Black Gold last year. It was written off because of "flood damage" and the quarter panels were perfect and the car still ran.
But anyway, there's a Del Sol or two in Calgary... Look it up here. http://www.car-part.com

Ask the guy to fax you the quote so you can review it.
If he refuses, he is trying to scam you and go through insurance.
Let him get screwed over.
It does not take a lot to get to $1,000.00 in damage though. The repair to my avalon cost $1200.00 That was the " body shops" quotes for a brand new tail light (minor crack in it) and removal/refinish of the ...

The color made the suv ugly enough, but the wheels look just so wrong on
it.
Also, a red prelude was driving north on the QE2 on Sunday constantly
flicking ciggarette butts out the sunroof. Plus constantly trying to make
as much noise as possible come from his fart cannon and he also did the
ricer super-fast lane changes all the time. Luckily the dumbass finally ...
