Joy, some guys are physically attracted to women who carry more weight. It's probably just his preference. When he says you are beautiful, I'm sure he absolutely means it. He wouldn't have been attracted to you in the first place if he didn't think so! There is the possibility that he is possessive and is afraid that if you lose weight, other guys will become a threat, but I'm thinking probably he just loves the way...

I agree, keep busy. Eat protein at your last meal. Set a cut-off time. Meaning you can absolutely not have anything else to eat after that point. 2-3 hours before you go to bed is a good idea. Carbs help you sleep but if you eat simple carbs they will send you right back to the kitchen with hunger. Drink some lemon water when the urge comes. Plus the lemon in the water is great for your digestive system overnight. (Cleopatra drank lemon water...

Hey ladies. Guess who is back home? Me and my Canaan. I told them I needed a week to get my affairs in order and do some research, then I would make an appointment to bring him in to at least have the reflux surgery. They are gonna close off something so that he can't reflux and hopefully end all that vomiting after his feedings but especially that pump. He has been so quiet since I brought him home...he is at peace, finally! So, it...

Where's my workout partner Kel ????? I wanna know if she cracked an hour on the cross trainer (I dont know if I could even do 10 on there) I am really not having a good time with TOM at the moment and as a result am just staying off the scales. I went to pilates tonight and am all shaky but am glad I did it. Tomorrow night I have an appointment just outside of the city which I am ...

I went for a wedding dress fitting with my sister a bit less than four weeks ago, and I remember almost crying because I had nothing to wear. My jeans didn't fit! I felt fat and frumpy the whole time, while she was looking gorgeous and petite trying on all these beautiful dresses. rrrrrr. Well today we're going back to the same boutique so that she can finally make a decision on a dress, ...

Since I started losing weight again this past May, I have lost roughly 16 lbs. My father was the first to notice and commented on how my face looked so much thinner. This was after about 8 lbs lost. My mother in law also noticed a little change and commented. My kids and husband were/are the ones who could tell the most, I suppose because they see me every single day in all kinds of ...

I think my scale is way off on my bmi. Reading 37%. I am a very muscular person. Most of my fat is in my tummy, butt, and thighs--the rest of me looks like a skinny person. The height weight charts put me at 31 BMI-obese Then there is the covert bailey method--which takes into consideration your body frame and all and that method gives me a 24% body fat result--not bmi??? Now...

I read so many people cutting restaurants out of their lives, and it makes me sad! I LOVE eating out, and do as much as possible! It doesn't have to be bad! You just have to choose carefully, and maybe ask for something to be cooked without butter, or served with dressing on the side. I'm constantly whipping my Blackberry out to look up calorie count, and in ethnic restaurants, I ask they waiter...

Hope everyone had a nice holiday! I've realised that I have a MAJOR "All or Nothing" mentality when it comes to weight loss. I start off ON FIRE! I have a perfectly clean diet and I kill myself at the gym. I show absolute self control when faced with temptations and I feel I am unstoppable! Then a week or so passes by and my resolve starts to diminish. I start eyeballing that thing i've been...

Good afternoon all! I was here yesterday and typed a long email and hit send and the site crashed. Lost my email as well. Hate it when that happens. Had a good OP weekend but had a small glitch yesterday. But today am back at it. I am determined to get through the day here without all the junk food. Went to the gym this morning. That was great. Really worked hard too....

Angela -- That's a great trick!! I had a good day yesterday! Lots of walking, and managed to stay on plan eating wise. YAY! Today will be tougher. We're going to a tapas restaurant, and it's hard to calorie count with that kind of meal. But I'll do the best I can. At the very least, I will track in my head each and every piece of food I eat. And I've got my exercise planned.

Seriously....I am so confussed about all the attention given to Michael Jackson's death. Of course I know it is "worthy" of news...I admit he was an icon. I just don't get it! ...the attention that is. Doesn't Stevie Wonder have way more #1's than MJ? Weren't they both about the same age when they started in the biz. I certainly would give the "Moon Walk" award to Neil Armstrong...
