Ask your school if they're OK with it. There's probably a reason they're throttling certain ports, TBH.

Did you try booting up with your USB drive plugged back in?
I think I had this happen to me once where I went into Hib mode while my usb drive was plugged in, I unplugged it and tried booting up only to see a blue screen.
After plugging the ext drive back in it loaded up fine.

I must agree with TF242. If I were you, I would change the portfolio. It needs to present your work without all the clutter and misleading "add to cart"-stuff. If I were looking to hire a game designer, I would heavily judge the portfolio. You write that you just finished a bachelor in Game Design - why not add a lot of the work you did there to your portfolio. You must have done...

the only thing irritating for me is that as far as i can see, the only way to make a game with it is to deisng levels and static meshes, import them and write a hell of a lot of unreal script, would love to just delve in add the source files to a c++ project and work from there tbh

Hi there Mr3d_PHD, welcome to the 3dbuzz forums !
Compact mode? Do you mean in the taskbar? if so you can change that by the taskbar properties. Or, if you mean the reduced UI skin mode, just got to options->view-> and select the mode you want.
Hope that helps !
(not really, i couldnt care less if it didn't)
