We already have a post started about this topic and I advise you to check it out. However, this topic had me thinking... Would you feel bad/glad getting married in front of your ex? Would you begin thinking "what if" it would have worked with the ex, would he be there instead of your current DF? I feel that is some things I would think if I was in that position. What do you think:-)

I agree with Kate. I've been a bridesmaid several times and no one ever said anything to me about my hair or makeup. I've never been asked to wear my hair a certain way and no one ever mentioned make up. I've never had my make up professionally done and I never would. To me it makes sense to spend money on hair, but not to want to on make-up because dying your hair lasts a month or more. Make-up only lasts one day. And I...

I can understand if my sister came up to me and said, I can't afford it, ok fine, no problem. I can understand if my mother came up to me and said I feel more comfortable having no makeup on, or us at least coming to some sort of comprise on it, instead of saying you have no say over it. I thought the same thing. Like I said, I asked them both if it would be awkward for them, and they both said no. So I am pretty sure she thinks that she is going to be one. I am going to have to come up with a reason to tell her as to why she will not be one. Like you said, that green monster would creep up fast! My ex is going to my wedding cause both me and my guy so want him there, he is my best friend and my guy? close friend and yes for some it will be akward but not to me and my guy. It is only you who feel akward not them, you should ask your self why and think about it. ?

That sounds like a very fun theme!! I'm thinking that he is going with black tuxes? Purple and black would be pretty. I don't feel that that is too girly at all. Below is a link to a wedding color palette. Maybe that will help you to decide on a hue:-)

IMO, it would be awkward to me. I understand the value of a friendship but having an ex involved in the wedding party just doesn't sit well with me. I feel my little green monster waking up inside:-)
