Hi, I recently acquired a second-hand UX-50. As I noticed the battery wasn't able to hold charge for so long, I decided to replace it by another one labeled "Running Power", 3.7 v 900 mAh that the previous owner had also included with the package. The PDA has been charging all night long through the cradle (PEGA JC-40) and I thought the battery had to be completely charged, but, to my surprise it seems not ... If I have...

Hi, I'm a long time user of Palm, and currently using a TH55 as a companion to my Blackberry. My previous Palm was a NX80 that broke down years ago; recently I replaced the battery and fixed the power button, and was thingking of using it as a multi remote for home. You can always get a second access point and set that for WEP. I use a ASUS 330G just for this purpose. It's a pocket access point that I carry to friends homes. At home I use a Linksys WAP54GP Access Point that supports VLAN's and up to 7 wireless networks. My primary wireless use WPA2, but I have a second private vlan with WEP for older devices. Cheers! I cannot think of a product off the top of my head but I am sure something exists - it might be worth checking out the "essential apps" thread which is a sticky at the top of this forum.
Any idea why HotSync is not working? I used to find re-installing the software often helped.

Removing applications? I have a new windows 7 computer. Before I install the desktop manager/Hotsync manager I want to remove all the junk on my Palm. I want it back to "stock". I want it like I bought it when it was new.
How do I do that? I have FileZ, but how do I know whats safe to remove?

I was updating a T/X for a friend and had just purchased SDHC when it died in my hands. It won't power on and appears to have gone on to meet its maker. Do you folks think it's worth sending the non-responsive palm in for repair through one of the 3rd party companies?
