It is suppose to be illegal to ship firearms via USPS, ship via Fed-Ex or some other common carrier. Might try Robar for new finish.

Hello Gentlemen, I realize everyone is stressed by current events, political and gun related. Like the shootings the last two days. This license and permit stuff is enough to drive anyone to distraction. Some rules and regs. make sense, others are just for harassment. You gotta really be careful because guns "are under the gun", so to speak, and will be for some time more. So, please, check and double check, with every level...

What Finish to Use?

Duracoat is a good option, they make colors that simulate both gun blue and parkerizing, as well as many other colors, some more offbeat than others.

totaldla- I'm not sure if you are correct in your statement. Seeing how the combination of BE and lead has been the go to combo of many Bullseye shooters for years.

I have a PO warthog and have had problems with jams. mostly failure to feeds. I dont really have the money to be buying 20 different kinds of .45 ammo to see what works best. I know I should but cant. So I was wondering what everyone else was shooting so maybe it could narrow down my search for the "right" brand. Thanks in advance!

Folks have an annoying habit of not dropping when shot.
I figure if I fired a shot and the guy's still in front of my gun, I'll shoot until he is down.
Two or even three shots would be fired very quickly.
I'd rethink your tactics. Even a . 357 mag will not drop everyone everytime unless a CNS shot is made.
I'd much rather face a jury with a friendly attorney than have my kids ...

The fact that this is even in question is pathetic!
Foxnews is the only one asking questions which must be asked.
BTW, when was the last time Katie or Brian talked about the "debt clock"? Or how long since they had numbers of soldiers who were killed in action?
Absolutely pathetic the way Obama is covered by these clowns.
Anyone who owns a gun and supports Obama really needs ...

You might call Kimber & ask them. Better yet, e-mail pictures. It's been a couple of weeks since I shot mine & cleaned it, but I don't recall any wear marks inside the frame like that. Mine is the Pro Crimson Carry II. It is a Light colored frame so may not show wear real well & I could have over-looked it. I'll take it down & look closely & let you know.

I guess it depends on what you consider " SHTF". In my opinion of course, there aren't going to be any people going to work every day during what I would consider SHTF days (chaos: invasion, total civil war, zombies), so carrying a rifle is choice if the situation warrants it. I think he misuses the phrase "SHTF" , as he seems to apply it to the aftermath and rebuilding periods in that country as ...
