Trust me Bill, it's all conjecture on my part also. What baffles me is the HP is still climbing, otherwise I'd be thinking the fuel system was maxing out, either the pressure was dropping or the duty cycle was nearing or hitting 100%. But the AFR in the dyno sheet although a little lean ( and Lane had just increased the boost, autotune was re-calculating) was holding pretty close. You said you've never seen one drop off before...

That's a good deal. I wish you would have had these a month ago.
Not to hijack your thread, but I have a set of baffles that are practically new. They came with my Toxic pipes but I removed them day 1 since I wanted the bike real loud. I would let them go for $55 shipped.

No telling what is broke until it comes apart. The BAD NEWS is any chips or pieces that broke off the trans parts had a chance to circulate through your entire engine while you rode it home.
Yes the engine needs to come apart.
Yes any year trans will fit.
No, do not "trim" your forks. You NEED to install the updated forks and shift actuator.
You can do it without a stand.

And a question.
I was 70 miles from home when i saw the leak. I topped off with water it took a litre and i filled it all the way to the cap. Could the engine be damaged from that? Not a hot day and the radiator was behaving normally when stopped at lights.

Added the slipper clutch a couple of months ago. Shifting is so smooth now.
A great upgrade that does not cost a lot to do. Let's you downshift quickly
with complete confidence.

Thanks for the warning. I was thinking about getting one, but I never really understood it's purpose.
I will get some of that polish anyway. I got plenty of small scratches from the big roadtrips I took this year.

Thanks Pat.
What races are you planning on attending this year? I am going to make an effort to hit Commerce, Bristol and Norwalk. Rockingham's a definite as usual.

I've used heli-coils with good luck, but I'd not recommend doing this kind of work without being able to clean the chips and pieces out of the pan. In other words, I'd buy the seals and pull the pan to do the repair.
