What did you think of this year?
Published (2009-11-07 22:24:00)
I sure think it was. Honestly, there wasn't a single good story besides Mark Martin and Montoya this year. With record amounts of S&Ps in all 3 series, titles in all 3 series locked up, and the entire rule farces, I'm not excited at all for next year. They better change lots of stuff. You now know my opinion, but how about you guys? What did you all think?

Chris it mightn't be a bad idea to get in touch with someone from the North East region of the BMMC (I think Croft falls into the NE region, perhaps someone could confirm?) and tell them that you'd be interested in attending their training day with a view to possibly joining the club. Contact details are here . Quote: Originally Posted by HairyDJ I believe that if you join BMMC this late in the season, your membership actually runs...

It is up to the series to market the racing as "green". But in my mind racing should naturally lead the "green racing" initiative because that is what the market desires from auto manufacturers. Sports car racing is where the appropriate technologies are developed, perfected and made practical, thus sports car racing should lead the trend. Chris

I don't see such a thing happening in 08', maybe 09'. I doubt they can simply bolt the V12 into a Zytek or Lola... don't think it would fit, or work with those chassis, just not designed for it. I believe it would have to be a chassis designed to house such an engine, and there hasn't been enough lead time for that, since their F1 plans fell apart.

Far from a stupid rule! If the Jacks aren't down the car isn't 'earthed' - so a HUGE risk of fire from a static spark when the fuel nozzle is engaged. That's the reason for the rule and like it or not, if you don't abide by the rules - you cop a penalty!

Murphy's twitter tells me broadcast TV (presumably ABC, NBC etc.) is out next year. ALMS finally got fed up of being featured with the worst coverage in the sport's history. I hope to see one prototype class regardless of Audi and Acura's plans. Run with an equivalency formula much like they had "2006-2008". Atherton said there will be no identifiable GT1 grid, does that mean GT1 cars are welcome...

888 were strongest there in enduro trim the last 2 years only getting done by a mistake and a tyre. Bright was very fast there this year so i think he will have a good outing. Garth is awesome there so i expect him to be a little quicker then will but the question is when does he get called to be rear gunner for Will and HRT put their focus to Will?????

Whilst there are plenty of stories circulating about what may or not happen during the remainder of the this season, rumours are also beginning to emerge about a re-shuffle of drivers for 2010. Chief amongst these, of course, is the possibility/probability that Kimi Raikkonen wil be replaced at Ferrari by Fernando Alonso. Done deal or not? The circumstantial evidence suggests that it is. ...

the big one always looms, but THIS caught my eye on the NASCAR homepage...it does seem like yesterday...how time flys. i find myself wondering WHAT IF as well as thinking of Davey often during the races at 'dega. and this sport and the world in general is really missing the moustaches. speeds in PRACTICE 1 vs PRACTICE 2 are drastically different, but none of that really matters....
