... "BIBLE" of option books (considered by most
Market Makers) is "Options Volatility and Pricing" - by
Natenberg. Together both these books will give you almost everything you need to know ABOUT options... TRADING guide books, but rather detailed explanations on how option works and some general strategies.
Natenberg really gets into the pricing and volatility aspect - which is a MUST if you plan ...

...on the other hand the only way to really get good at it is to
dive into it. Sheldon
Natenberg has what I will call the best "introductory" book on the subject: Option volatility and ... valuations and some techniques. I wouldn't even touch an option, until you've read
Natenberg. Uninformed options gamblers always get busted out. Usually pretty quick. Ultimately, you've got...

Great post! I'll definately check out Sheldon
Natenberg's book. Outside of my core holdings, pretty much any of the playing around I do is long-only swing trades. Over the last couple of years I've dabbled with some options and some
short selling, however, I've had very limited success with both. I attribute it to a couple of things: A) I'm a lousy stock picker in the short ...

At the end of the day, I still think
Natenberg is the best. His books aren't exactly exciting reads, but they get the job done. Just about everyone in the options biz these days cut their teeth on "Options
Volatility and Pricing" by
Natenberg. It's the bible. A very dry, boring bible...

Hey, Larry. Glad I found you. I'm looking into options books on Amazon. Do you have a favorite? I'm thinking of picking up "Option Volatility & Pricing: Advanced Trading Strategies and Techniques by
Sheldon Natenberg"

... about it, there seems like an overload of info over the net about
FX Trading (and the associated TA). I am biding my time until some books i ordered arrive from the states. Incidently, the book you want from
Natenberg is 'Option Pricing and Volatility' his 1994 book. Also, a good tip too is buy it from Amazon. It is $41 USD there.....we are near parity so you pay about $43 and then...

Thank goodness for clueless traders. I suggest reading Cottle,
Natenberg,Haug etc. Options are only for scarey people like me and other eccentrics. There is a site dedicated to Iron condors-you might want to look at that, but
equity options as a sell? No thanks.
