didn t comment since it wasn t that long ago that I had posted on shopping by bike and specifically how to attach an unconventional carrier unto a rear rack http://www.instructables.com/id/Loc...f- The milk crate is a straight forward easy to attach with zip ties idea if you can get a hold of one easily Otherwise http www bikesatwork com hauling

a word about local shopping by bike Perhaps you missed the gt thread gt http groups google com group rec 802ea360075852 gt gt Better than panniers I would suggest gt http://www.instructables.com/id/Loc...f- Panniers have certain intrinsic advantages eg they distribute cargo weight around a bicycle in the best manner possible But they re really designed for touring not for shopping Things
