DunLUG - Dunedin Linux Users Group - bugzilla.redhat.com RE: [138/151] drm/i915: Avoid NULL dereference with component_only tv_modes  Open this post in new window
commit d271817baecbccb47da0d9f28c285a0dae8a06b7 upstream. In commit d2d9f2324, the guard for a valid video mode was removed. This caused the regression: kernel crash during kms graphic boot on Intel GM4500 platform https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi This patches changes the logic slightly not to rely on a coupled variable, but to just check whether the video_modes is valid before dereferencing. issue with Kopete in the CentOS version not being able to connect to Yahoo. I went digging today and found out why. To my dismay this is what I found https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi So this made me angry so I decided to see if I could fix this, well I did. I grabbed the src.rpms for CentOS and upgraded the Kopete version

you get a kernel crash? If so, then see these two Bugzilla entries which have KVM and kernel crashes. * Bug 533087 - kernel crash with kvm virtual machines - https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi * Bug 545851 - KVM/networking-related crash? - https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=545851 If this is not as similar to your experience, then I would suggest the Bugzilla entry as you are thinking.
