I usually try to ignore the stupidity of the administrators at my school, but today they have just gone too far. Today, without telling any of the students, they shortened the time we have to go to our lockers and get to class at the begining of the day to 5 minutes from 10. That is not nearly enough time to get to your locker get what you need and get to class. My school is pretty large and we ...

So, my lovely story begins when I woke up around 5:30 AM, and found my tongue swollen to 3x its size, and breathing to be difficult. I was somewhat freaked, but I took some Benadryl, all symptoms cleared, and I was as close to my happy place as possible for being awake that early - and went to school. Then, after 2nd period, it happened again; but on a far more severe scale. Not only was my ...

My friend, who is in all of my classes, does not get along with another student at my school. They have gotten in fistfights. I don't think his parents are doing much about this except keeping him home from school after a fight. I want to help him, but his parents blame everbody else for his difficulties and won't want my help. What can I do?

A few months ago, the New York state supreme court ruled in favor of Bloomberg's cell phone ban in schools. What's everyone here's opinion of cell phones in school? Should they be prohibited, allowed before classes, during lunch and after school, or should students have cart blanche to use them whenever? If your school bans them, does the ban work, or do students use them anyway? ...

Over the last few weeks, I have been devouring book after book on education and have been reading large amounts of information online about education. A lot of this has been gifted education. As I have done this, I have come more and more to realize that all these years I have spent in school have been very wasteful. You see, since third grade (the first grade my elementary school district...

There's going to be a "random" drug testing during our gym classes next week. They're planning to target only certain students. (Meaning anyone in lower level classes or just looks the part.) My problem is that I look the part. If I were to refuse to take he test would I have any leg to stand on? Personally, I think it's humiliating and it's just a power strip for school officials....
