Another reason jeeps use those corner pieces, FJ4os too, is because that is also a common rust spot and the corner pieces are used to strengthen those weak areas.

yeah the shackles are ridiculously long as it is...im not worried about it sitting just perfect because ill eventually have the hardtop removed permanently switched with a soft, so that will clear up some weight in the back...what will happen is ill just make sure the rear shackle hanger is relocated in such a way that it gives me a much better shackle angle along with a longer spring....that should do the trick.... thx for your input....much...

I have been thinking of putting 2 inch blocks under my truck. I have read gobbs of material that say not to block your front. But what if I were to machine these blocks big enough so that the U-bolts would go through them and leave plenty of meat that goes around the bolt. Any thoughts?

I met Scott of Addicted Offroad at the CO4RJ this year and spoke with him about building me a bumper. He currently didn't have a production bumper for the Tacoma's so it looks like this will be it... well if not "IT" very close to "IT". Pricing is going to be around $499 with a license plate mount that slides into the hitch... Main section is 2x3 .188 wall. Lower tubes are 1.75" .120 wall...

Dilemma: wanting to do one of two things... 1. remove rear spring pack and block and replace with a longer spring from mc or similar...but most manufacturers only offer said longer spring in a 5" spring...will this give me a noticeable dip? or rear ...

Trying to decide between Allpro sliders or Stubbs HD SKO. Allpro is less expensive by about 60 bucks. Both use .120 wall tubing. Difference being diameter. 2" inner and 1.75" outer on Allpro and 1.75" inner and outer on Stubbs. I know from reading posts around here Richard and his products rock but saving money these days is top priority.

Took my Trekker down to Derek at Revenge Fabrication to do some work. Here is what he came up with: Front: It doesn't stick out too much like some I have seen: Modified the rear Marlin bumper to a swing out used a rockstomper hinge kit. Ok to start with there are 29 photos in the thumbnail above -- please click on it and let me know what you think? This was an '89 4x4 4cyl. I bought it approximately a year ago on ebay. It has a rust free body and at the time it had a running 22re with a hole in the block on the #3 cylinder. Being that the body had no rust, even here in Indiana I never dreamed that the frame would have issues, ...
