Ok, so i pulled my TB to look at the gasket. First off i can't see how you CAN put it on backwards? i mean it is not like there is anything that will change being one way or the other from what i can see. The SC side has a round hole, no other air ducts so as long as the TB gaskect seals it would seem to me that it would not matter how it is? Here is how mine was: Sould it be like this? Don't see how either way would effect anything...

i would really check the throttle body gasket, i installed mine backwards and had the same problems for about 1 month. I checked it and sure enough it was in wrong. When i had it in wrong i was running lean i should say that the ecu was adding fuel even just driving down the freeway in vacuum Once i got this problem worked out every thing was great. I would check this gasket if it were mine truck, then may be clean the MAF. Are you running...

Ace, I hate to say this, as I want to be supportive of you, but maybe you need to get some local help. You seem to be having a lot of issues, and most seem to be caused by small mistakes that end up causing you grief. I was afraid that fuel pump would cause you problems. I'm still confused as to why you even installed it before finding out you definitely needed it. I'll send you my map as I do have an auto. Just e-mail me from my...

Read This: http://www.yotatech.com/f120/96-02-4...ion-faq-73612/ And this: http://www.yotatech.com/f2/any-tips-...eekend-141096/ I don't have pics, but here are some instructions for the rear coils: Block the front wheels. Use a good floor jack under the rear diff to lift the rear of the 4runner. Use a good pair of jack stands to support the frame forward of the rear suspension. Unbolt the lower shock mounts. Unbolt the endlinks from the...

Alright! Lately, winter has finally hit, the weather is cold and miserable. Today started out as a nice day, cold but nice, so I thought I'd weld the step plate and gusset in place. Unfortunately, I didn't get much done, out of nowhere it started snowing like crazy, ended up packing everything up again and called a day. I did a little more grinding, fine tuning the fit for the step plate. I managed to get a nice tight fit. The pics...

SS 1.2 or SS 7.2?
Published (2008-11-21 12:43:00)
Ok, I may just go with a 1.2. If I do get another spare, Ill remove my stock one so there goes that extra weight. I personally like the Marlin Crawler Tacoma bumper too. Ill have to see if I can make it fit. It wont weigh very much more than the stock one if it even weighs more. And that gets rid of the tow package.

I purchased my 99 4runner back in may of this year. I got deployed in July to Qatar were I currently still am. I come back in a week and figured my stock 4runner needed a few goodies. My budget was originally $2000 dollars, but I kept seeing things I wanted, lol. I still have yet to purchase my wheels which are going to cost me another $600 bucks (5 of the ProComp 8069's). Unfortunatly ...

I just put a deposit on a 96 Taco extracab 4x4, It has 386000kms on it, truck runs good, body is in great shape but the interior looks like a racoon got loose in it, everything is destroyed, seats and carpet need to be replaced. The windshield is cracked and the ball joints are gone, the owner also believes the headgasket is gone(3.4l) Im hoping thats not the case. He also had brought it to the ...

Any suggestions on locations and methods for transporting a long gun (rifle or shotgun) in your 4Runner? Preferably a smart place and way to strap it down or lock it into place, while it's in a carry case (hard or soft). Pics too, if you have them, would be great. Thanks!!!

So stay tuned for everything I am going to do to my already HOT HOT truck (I need some lights though, I think that would look good). First a rundown of what has happened so far to get people caught up, then what I need now....

Does anyone know were I can buy a set of 5 Pro Comp 8069 Wheels in black (16x8) for my 99 4runner? Every place I have called is sold out until the begining of december. I return back to the states in 2.5 weeks, and was hoping to have them ordered before I got home so I can install them with the rest of my parts. I've tried; wheelersoffroad.com performanceproducts4trucks.com ...

About a week ago I installed a stereo, 2 4ch amps, w/ a total of about 800w RMS. I upgraded the alt about a year ago to a high output Mr. Alternator alt, and did the big 3 with 1/0ga. Now, when I have my lights on and I decelerate to around 30mph, sometimes I get a drastic voltage drop where my lights almost completely go dim and the car nearly dies. I assume it's a voltage drop I don't have ...

I just purchased a 1997 4runner limited and am looking at tires. Doing my research, I find that the 1996-1997 is in the middle re factory height. That said, if I go with 265/75/16s can I anticipate rubbing at all? Maybe under compression, or at full lock? I see some folks have slight rubbing, mostly with the later years, just haven't seen much re the '97s though. I do plan on going with a ...

I just picked up a 5vzfe longblock out of a 2001 4runner with 90k on it for 500 bucks. I want to put it on my engine stand but cannot find what thread and size the bolt is. I have tried m12 with 1.25, 1.5 and 1.75 pitch. Oddly enough standard bolts seem to fit better. Toyota wants 7 bucks a pop and I don't even know if they will be long enough. Any help? Thanks guys and have a nice weekend. ...

As for the ground, just find a bolt near by or drill a screw through some metal. You don't need to route that all the way to the batter. The times I went through the firewall I went through the hole by where the drivers feet are. Any hole will do, that is just what I found easiest.
