Exactly, VH 3 doesn't show growth, all it shows is that a once great band, with a guitar player with an ego bigger than the Pacific Ocean, can put out a terrible album, and pass it off as "maturing" to some fans. Experimental? Please. I don't think people really know what experimental in rock music is if they think VH 3 is. If that album is considered a "growth" for Van Halen, they should have it...

I'm truly surprised that among the tunes people have suggested dropping, no one has mentioned "Big Fat Money". To me it sounds like an uninspired three chord yawn, the type of throwaway tune used to fill time on an album the same way a cover tune is used to pad out a stage show. Replace it with a completed version of "Crossing Over", get rid of the dumb sound effects nonsense, tweak the running order...

VERY COOL PICTURES!!! Was/Is Mike a very good keyboardist/pianist? Or was it more of a case of just learning a specific part for a specific song?

As long as we're beating Amsterdam to death we may as well add this dude Kent to the mix. Sure as hell can't nail it better than this:

The production was just one of the many problems with that shitpile of an album. The biggest problem though was the songs sucked, you can't polish a turd.
