Iza, 1) just do mental check after you solve the problem.. 2) also try to do any problem in less than 90 seconds.. 3) also try to do as much complete Quant tests as you can. I believe You can do it!!! Good Luck with your GRE!

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply! This is a great piece of advice! I will try to concentrate only on math the next 2 days and will see whether there is any improvement.

NOTE: I have taken time to read quite a number of posts, but I felt the need to get some personalized advice. I hope you won't mind me asking questions that have probably been asked before. I took the GRE last week and scored 720Q and 570V, and that was disheartening. I just stumbled onto this forum and I wish I had seen it before. I used Barron's 18th edition, and part of ETS 10th edition. I managed to memorize about half the words...

Well, I do agree that miracles do not happen often but there isn't much difference between a score of 590 and 700 specially in the math section. If you've solved half of Nova's bible and you are not able to raise your score then I would say there is something wrong with your approach. Try to figure out where are you doing mistakes and what's taking too much time. Also, you didn't mention which practice tests are you...

Hello guys, I am writing to you because I am desperate! My GRE is in 9 days and while I am doing really well on the Verbal past (scoring around 700), I am doing terrible at the Quant part. I am applying for humanitarian programs, so I just need to get 700 I will be extremely happy! However, although I solved so many problems (went through Barrons, solved half of Nova math bible) I cannot ...

I have to say that I love this book. I took a Princeton Review GRE class. I started off with a 610 on the math section. When I was finished with the class, I was getting about a 650 on the practice tests. I have been working through the Math Bible to get a more rigorous treatment of the problems. I took the Powerprep test today and got a 750. I have to admit that the Nova book does things ...

Hello everyone, I am wondering what kind of scores I need to get into a top political science program. I'm thinking University of Chicago maybe. I have decent grades with a 3.8 or so in my undergrad, and I am in the honors program at my school. What kind of GRE score do I need to get in order to be competitive? Thanks! HarperRae

I have an outstanding GPA and have been inducted into numerous honor societies. I have applied to a few great schools and I am waiting to hear back from them. What do some of you all think?
