Soundwise and stylewise it simply epitomizes Katatonia i.m.o. The strangely dark, distorted intro's of Dispossession and Chrome, the pounding drums (that fucking snare crushes skulls), the warm analogue sound, it's all just how it's meant to be. Clean Today, Dispossession, Clean Today, Chrome and of course Clean Today, just classic.. LFDGD = Katatonia = LFDGD = Katatonia = LFDGD...

First thought: wut?
Nooo...
1. True - but he has his very own wonderful charm on DO and TD.
2. Nonsense. The guitar tone is very, very thick for such a not-so-much heavy album. Get vinyl and good speakers. or something?
3. There I too disagree.. more eloquent drumming wouldn't fit.

It is an amazing album indeed! How can one not like Sweet Nurse? Teargas? I Transpire? on and on. I even love We must Bury You!! Such a morbid short song that some here hate, but not this boy!
For me, LFDGD is the first cd Katatonia did with their newer style that exudes a great deal of confidence in what they're doing. They really hit their stride with this cd for me. But I actually love ...

I'm on an anti-depressant due to major clinical depression (genetic as well). It has helped me immensely. I hardly notice any difference; it is not like a drug that gets you high. It just takes the edge off for me. As someone who's struggled with major depression most of my life, I highly recommend anti-depressants as a harmless method of taking the pain out of depression.

The music is pretty good, but the vocals definitely left something to be desired imo. Good job, keep on truckin. \m/
P.S. I dig the artwork too btw.

Setlist ideas for 2010 tours
Another inevitable thread From the new one my flat out demands are Forsaker, Liberation and Longest Year. Nephilim could probably work very well live as well with all the old school dooming going on in there. Of the more mellow songs I'd say Promise of Deceit would work the best. It's got a lot of catchiness ...

Personally I think Paradise Lost has never sounded better, which is why I can give them some leeway to retread a bit. I enjoy the more mature releases of bands like Paradise Lost, Katatonia, Sentenced, and Anathema as I lost interest in their teen angst ridden years. Actually I think most bands that stick together for so long only improve as their chemistry becomes a fine science. Where some ...
