If I understand your question - you want to put a 2nd gen trackbar on a 3rd gen truck? If this is the case, I don't understand why you would want to use an inferior designed component in place of a better designed one. Most of us 2nd gen guys are replacing the trackbarrs on our trucks with the 3rd gen style. Of course to do so you need the adapter to convert from 2nd gen to 3rd. If you are trying to switch back in time (if you will)...

Hammer, You and I are driving the same exact rigs. Do NOT let those problems go unrepaired. Be warned, the repairs don't seem to last very long. Even the a/c system draws fresh air from the cowl above that flex hose, so be careful. I don't use a/c much and always have a window open. But you know how those Volvos like to dump a half gallon or so of water off the roof right on you when the truck leans in a corner when its raining. I...

Purchase the cable system. If the bolts are stripped or broken, addrss it. Drilling and tapping is not that hard. Just do it. You will be glad you did. (This was a motivational speach)

Dieselwrks, thanks for serving our country. The arms I have from Profab, are a nice product. My front end is tighter then when it was new. Joe Mc has had the same arms on his truck for a few years now, with no issues. So, I think I'm good for a few years. lol As for SRath's, if I wanted to impress someone, I would have turned my box up and flipped my meth. on, and put a real smoke show on!!!! I was simple stretching my trucks legs....

One off the reasons this is such a problem is that the bolts that keep the whole unit on the front axle are twisted off and once i break the seal and take it off will i ever get it to stop leaking ,and its a big job to drill out those broken small bolts. i don`t know how the cable works but i assume that you have to dissassemble the complete vacuum system from the axle.

New ones at the dealer or Arizona. These things rust as bad and as fast as 70's cars.

Holy cow! I got it but there must be a better way. Ended up doing it by the brail method sticking my mits in thru that little hole.
I tried pulling the battery box but clearly, there must be some fastener deeper down in the engine compartment because I removed the 2 nuts and 2 bolts that were accessable but still the box wouldnt budge.
Also just for fun, I dropped the little grey ...

The transfer case has the vacuum switch on top of it. That switch turns on the cad axle.
I had found the transfer case filter/breather behind the valve cover and it was pluged. It is for the transfer case but [/color] it is wye into that vacuum switch. It must alow vacuum/pressure to vent when the switch cycles. May prevent the switch from fully opening or closing?

I just installed a new PS pump but still didn't fix it. The fluid foams and does come out of the filler cap. Any ideas? Is there another assist to the power steering besides the hydraulic pump? Harry

In case you wonder why we are forced to buy more expensive, lower quality, less beneficial ULSD since '06 and now have to PAY huge bucks for diesel motors smothered by the most godawful emissions systems ever conceived, just watch that video a couple more times...

285's should be fine. I run 315's with no lift but they rub on the controll arms on sharp turns. I will go to 285's also when these wear out.

Quad Cab front doors are different than reg cab and club cab doors. The difference, or easy way to tell, is quad cab doors are square at the bottom rear and reg cab and club cap doors are round at the bottom rear.

havent had probs with my fronts I thought they have a warranty I would call them and send them a pic of the break. they should be a stand up enough company to get you new ones. If it looks like a molding error those things happen. just bad quality control. let us know what they say

At least on mine it wasn't the switches, motors are bad. Unfortunately, you can't buy just one motor new, it comes as a whole assembly and costs like $400.00 from dealer.
You could test the motors to make sure they are not the nature of the problem and/or test the switches as well.

Use a circuit tester to see if you are getting power to the clutch when the switch is turned on. I'm assuming that you have an ECM, if so, check to see that the AC wiring is properly connected. Other than that you've already checked everything that I have the competence to check. I've had the AC not work as a result of a loose wire in the ECM, the control module in the dash, and a dead AC ...
