You can go one day or all four days. Each day's ticket is $40. The ticket is good for any day of the weekend, so you can buy in advance and decide which days. (We usually do 1-2). As for transport, we use the Jazz Fest shuttle buses ($16 or so round trip). They run constantly and the queues are very orderly. They pick up in front of the Sheraton on Canal.

I don't know about JFK in particular, but check out Park N Fly options, in a google search.

We are contemplating driving to JFK for our trip to SXM. We have heard that some hotels on or near the airport will allow guests who spend one night at the hotel to park their car for the duration of the trip. Does anyone know about this. Can you suggest alternative parking options? Thanks.

Hello, Take a look at "buyreservations.com". I've used it for 15 years and have always had great service. I live in Pleasant Valley, NY and leave from EWR. For me much easier than JFK..........Al

I have posted several Jazz Fest trip reports both here and Fodors -- you may have an easier time searching for them on Fodors with my screen name (Callaloo). I'm going again for the fourth consecutive year (and fifth time overall) and think it's New Orleans at its best.

The weather will be getting nippy at the end of October and of course, probably windy. Bring warm clothes. Lawry's Restaurant downtown in my favorite, but you have to really be into beef to like it. I'm not sure they serve anything else! Carson's for ribs is another great place. Do try Chicago style deep dish pizza if that's new to you. Uno's, (the original Uno's), Due's or Lou ...

Hi The Burr Trail - Drive from Boulder down the road toward Bullfrog AZ, across the Waterpocket Fold and back past Muley Twist Canyon and end up in Escalante. In good weather, OK for passenger cars, but after a rain it would be a great idea to have a high clearance vehicle on this dirt road. Wonderful views of the Henry Mountains in the distance. Highway 13 from Panguich to Boulder....

Thanks for posting the trip report Wayne. Your earlier report was very helpful for us during our first visit in June. Had so much fun that time we went back in September, both times staying at Marrero's. Going to have to try that breakfast at Schooner Warf on the next trip. On a side note, my bride also does not get near a plane with out a handful of Dramimine. Lot of history in Key West...
