A great choice would be Windstar Cruises. The Wind Surf sails roundtrip out of Barbados, a fun itinerary with no formal nights and resort casual for evening wear. We sailed on the Wind Surf in March and loved every minute.

It's actually pretty easy these days to avoid formal wear on a cruise. If you're talking a week cruise, generally the maximum for formal wear is 2 nights in 7. On the other 5 nights, dress is casual, which basically means, no shorts, no tank tops, no jeans, that type of things. On the 'formal' nights, t's really pretty easy to find some other options for dinner. Most cruise lines ...

DH and I have been on 2 Costa cruises. Great value for the money. It is different in that the announcements are made in several different languages and you will get tired of hear all before the end of the cruise. There is an additional pasta course put into the meals at night. A lot of seafood is also available that we typically don't see on other cruise line(salads with baby Octopus and...

Ah, Nutmeg, my friend, you should have been around in the good ol' days, when ALL of them allowed you to bring on whatever you wanted--or better yet, buy it in the duty free shop onboard for consumption on board! ......of course, the problem was that, say in 1987, when we took our first cruise, we paid $1200 a person for a DINKY (albeit outside) cabin on NCL's Seaward, for a week ...

You will be docked at pier in Cozumel - at least I am pretty certain that is the scheduled plan.

Hi, my first (and only so far) cruise was the 3 day to Ensinada with Carnival. We orig wanted to go with Royal but the travel agent talked us into Carnival bcs 4 of us were sharing a room and thier rooms are X sqr feet bigger (I don't remember the number exactly anymore, this was 4 or 5 yrs ago now.... ) and we LOVED it! The ship was great, the food was great, the exursion was great (...

Thanks for the trip report! We were on the Grandeur a long time ago and thought she was a very pretty ship. I really do not care for the 3,000 pax (and larger now!!) ships. I think that size is the max that I enjoy. My favorite size ship is actually the 700 pax size of the former R ships, but they are extremely few and far between. Cruise lines just can't make enough money sailing ...

In Cozumel you will have the ship excursion to Tulum and possibly Chitzen Itza if it is offered. Both are on the mainland, so the ship excursion is many times a drop off before docking in Cozumel. The ruins on Cozumel are really not much, so you would be better doing one of the others if you want to see ruins.
