many ways to repair that also depending on Windows version, anyway without messing with the Registry which can get pretty tricky I'd go: right click on a .zip file > open with > bottom: list of programs > choose the one you want and tick "always use this" to associate with winzip or whatever HTH

I'll try that. I think it has to do the hardware compatibility, because when I was installing SP3 I remember seeing "building a list of hardware" or something like that and thinking "Oh ****, it's gonna happen again"... And it did. I hate windows.

I tried changing it, but it doesn't make any difference. It's almost certainly a video card problem not DosBox and I'm am loathed to mess around too much with those settings as I like my monitor and don't want to blow it up

Some SP3 installation glitch Try booting in Safe mode or Debug mode, let it boot completely, then reboot in Normal mode. Another way is to slipstream your legal Windows XP SP2 distribution and SP3 distribution to one package and building a single distribution disc. You can search for Slipstreaming tutorials over the Net - it's a totally legal action

^ Winamp plugin there as well. Genrally if you have K-Lite Mega Codec pack installed, you'll have full FLAC support in all media players which can load K-Lite codecs (thus almost all MP).
