In general, any 'corporate' apartment management is going to want to see your credit report, as well as verifiable proof of income. These days, the only official way to do that in the absence of W2's or 1099's is to show the prospective landlord your tax returns for the last couple of years. Since you recently started dancing, you might try filing your 2009 tax return early in January and then using that as proof of income....

Ford offers buy outs/early retirement to ALL UAW workers. When these businesses finally close their doors or step down to has-been status, people will start looking around at what CHANGE really means and what it needs to mean for the future. Deogol View Public Profile Find More Posts by Deogol

If everyone paid their fair share of taxes I guess we'd all be paying only our fair share. Imagine that. Quote: Jenny: One thing that drives me up the wall about the girls in this business is the completely naive sense of entitlement of something for nothing. A form 1099-misc details what the club/webcam site/private party company paid you out of their pockets. Credit card purchases from customers (whether online or in person) will be pretty much the only thing that shows up. So, if you don't have a line entry on your Schedule C explaining the 1099 amount dollar-for-dollar the IRS will view this as additional taxable income!! Some clubs send this out because their accountants want to cover...

not all of them. only if the paper the fake bill was made out of was one that would glow under the black light. people have various ways of producing fake money, not all are alike. its better to look for signs that a bill is real (which will be true of all real bills) than look for signs that its fake (since they will only be true of a subset of fake bills). The way I tell if a bill is real, hold it up to the light and on one side about 1/4...

I'm with Athena on this one. My best friend graduated law school with a good GPA and lots of leadership roles in all the right clubs, he passed the bar this summer and has sent out hundreds of resumes. He still doesn't have a job. As for research. It's definitely slave labor. I was originally perusing a BS in chemistry. I did all the right things and landed a position working under a grad student in a synthetic organic chem lab....

Pro ... you did not receive the necessary letter itemizing charges against your security deposit within the alotted time frame
Con ... you did not provide the former landlord with a valid snail mail address, thus preventing him from sending the necessary letter

I was tempted to move this thread to the 'spam' bin ... but then figured that it would be a worthwhile effort to look 'under the hood' at this supposed business opportunity.
- the primary claim to fame regarding 'income' is actually a percentage of 'commission' on sales of merchandise from other websites. Thus this depends on the person being able to 'steer' traffic to these other websites,...

None of these surprise me either. I moved from Chicago back to Detroit, good Ol' Motor City, and yes you can tell how it is affected by everything that isn't done here in the US. Sucks but if it is going to happen Detroit should've been preparing way better a long time ago. Instead they are getting ready to declare bankruptcy and inching closer to ...

the extra $5 is definitely 'deductible'. The question is how to best account for it. If the customer pays you the $25 directly for private dances, and you in turn directly pay $5 per private dance to the club, you can simply report a ' net' income of $20 per private dance ... on the basis that the club is not keeping a specific record of your private dances.
However, if the club did keep a ...
