The long hours have been helpful both financially and by keeping me from having too much idle time on my hands, always a problem for me. I drive almost an hour each way to work, so it gives me some thinking time, or somtimes some time just to crank the stereo and not think about anything. All in all, things are going OK with me. Had a good day with my son. Hate to see him go tomorrow, but at least I know it will only be weeks until I see him...

I hated working retail, but especially around Christmas. As if the customers weren't bad enough, you're forced to listen to Christmas carols during your entire shift. Miserable. The cheesy music that was on the PA the rest of the year was easy to ignore but those carols would work their way into your brain. Last night the dope pusher guy I mentioned was at it again, calling me, telling me he had some dope. I decided to stay home this...

I am with you on farmville, I actually had to delete the app a couple of weeks ago because I was getting obsessed (same with the cafe one). Well done for getting away from the pusher, unfortunately booze is being pushed (advertised) like mad this time of year. The real message of Christmas seems to be, get drunk

I saw that debate Misty, it felt more than a bit one sided lol What possessed the pro side to pick the debators they did is beyond me. Hitchens and Fry were pretty much unbeatable though (especially Stephen Fry when he asked "then what are you for!"). Another good one is "New Atheism is the New Fundamentalism", Richard Dawkins and AC Grayling are truly impressive. Glad to see you ...

Well after 45 years of pursuing that phantasy I made peace with that desire. I no longer wish to be a normal drinker as I no longer wish to drink. It'd be like wanting to date the girl that took me for a ride and dumped my sorry ass. As for standing out by being a non-drinker in a drinking crowd, I think its very cool. As far as being an alcoholic, why should I be ashamed? Cancer survivors wear ...

Yum! I'm going to make gazpacho from my overactive tomatoes, but I've heard of green chili recipes that could knock one's socks off. Never seen one myself. Good luck with the green salsa. Don't worry about rushing it. There are likely far more tomatillos ripening than you could ever use. No rush. Hugs,
