With all the excitement on the Gulf Coast coming, I need to speed my purchase of a NOAA weather radio. I want one that is SAME-equipped with an alarm for alerts. I was looking at this one: Oregon Scientific WR602 . I got a speeding ticket. I deserved it! No Cop/Deputy/Officer/Patrolman bashing here. I was going from Tampa to Pompano Beach to pick up a suppressor I had ordered 3 months ago. Anyway to the story. I was on Highway 60 between Tampa and Yeehaw Junction. This is prime cattle farm area with little more. It is literally green from horizon to horizon with not a building in site. I was doing ...

I actually heard this on the radio today. The unit numbers have been changed to protect the innocent. As well as offenders information "2326" "2326, go ahead" "Traffic stop, 24 at the six mile marker, northbound on Tennesse WE56478. Silver Audi, Tennesse tags WE56478." "10-4, 2326" "2326" "Go ahead, 2326" "I need you to 28 (vehicle registration query) that tag and I need status and ...

The mailman brought these this morning: A P3D Q5 and the TK11 (next to a TK10 and Inova T4) After a short test I noticed that the TK11 comes with a smooth reflector, and the beam doesn't look as "clean" as on the TK10. The TK11´s light also is more "yellowish" compared to the TK10, the main reason I got the TK11 was the fact that it uses rechargeable batteries. The P3d on the other hand...

Tick Warning! I hate it when people forward bogus warnings. I have even done it myself a couple times unintentionally. But this one is real, and it's important. So please send this warning to everyone on your e-mail list. If someone comes to your front door saying they are checking for ticks due to the warm weather and asks you to take your clothes off and dance around with your arms up,...

I have always wanted to get my pilots license. I am starting to get serious about it. I think it would be a great skill to have. I also think it would be awesome to have the ability to fly the family around for 3 day weekend vacations. I know it will be expensive to go through the training. However, I have acquaintances that have single engine planes. I am pretty sure that I will be able to...

Well, it's been 10 months, but I'm finally going back to work today. Last October I was riding my bicycle and was doored while on patrol. The end result was a torn labrum and biceps in my right shoulder. I'm officially 7 months post op and although I still have some swelling and inflammation, I'm cleared for duty and will qualify today and hit the streets this afternoon. I will miss the free time...

I don't mind the idea of using the former Dress Blues as the new Army Service Uniform, but those Class B's are freaking horrendous. Ughh. And i mean for discipline by a parent or guardian. We all know there is a line between a spanking and abuse? Who's parents believed in corporal punishment? The man registered here as "SmokinSigs". Permutations of "SIG" for user names have become excessive, and I believe there are a couple of members with user names very close to this, so the man's application was politely denied, with an explanation , and an invitation to reapply for membership. All I wanted was to avoid more user names on the board that are so close to what we already have. ...
