The Academy flyer had a picture of the 9mm steel cased ammo in the ad, but at the gun counter only the brass cased ammo rang up for $7.99. I got there just as they opened yesterday and the guy said at first that both kinds were on sale, then he scanned each and said only the brass cased...

She's a gun nut too BTW... I see you're still in TEXAS.

9mm is $10.95/bx, 40 S&W is $14.95, both are cheaper in bulk. Sorry, very little 380. http://www.outdoormarksman.com/ I read their e-mail just after I'd ordered some from Natchez for a few dollars more.

Yeah, they usually get several manufacturers going at once, we still have the contract, too--at least that's what management said.

It does not say when Winchester will start producing this ammo. Might be this year or 2011.

i got a deal from the typical 200 rate to 100 dollars because the company was running a factory special, the 45 cost me 197 plus taxes so around 210 for 230 grain 45 ACP Federal 1000 rounds, but im still waiting on that one for about another month. typically all ammo in stores she tells me she can get for about 60 percent or cheaper for me. just a great acquaintance i made a few months ago

So, how much ammo have you hoarded?
Published (2010-01-01 01:30:00)
It's not hoarding till you have 10,000 rounds of every caliber you have a weapon chambered in. Mark

Do you have a regular supply of new 1000 round cases of 40S&W FMJ rounds for $100.00 or was this a one time deal? I think your assumption is off as I don't see the retailers marking up ammo from $5.00 per box of 50 to the $35.00 they typically are on the shelf. That would be a 600% markup on percent of cost. But, I've been wrong before. Happy New Year, Mark

Good luck finding factory 357 Sig for less than $500 shipped. If you are willing to wait, I think Georgia Arms still has Canned Heat for $300/ 1K.

I don't feel right if I don't have 1,000 rounds minimum of every caliber, except .44mag which I only have 2 or 3 hundred. 9mm I have the most of - about 2,500 rounds.

When I got my 12 boxes the other day it was at about 11 in the morning on Monday (Memorial Day). He told me the shipment came in Sunday night.
