recipe on cooking light I've made that one a couple times, it's tasty. Don't try to add the ginger and garlic to the flour mixture though, it won't stick to the steak. Just put in the ginger and garlic with the other ingredients.

I'm making something based on this one today: Split Pea Soup I do always put a bottle or 2 of beer in the soup, though, and I'll probably increase the carrots, onion and celery. Oh, and fresh thyme instead of marjoram.

My favorite cheap meal is roasted whole chicken. You can usually find whole fryer chickens at the store for about $5. Brush it with melted butter or olive oil, salt, pepper, and some herbs if you have them, then stuff it with a few stalks of celery. I have one that is pretty good: 1 28 oz can crushed tomatoes 1 can condensed chicken broth 1 1/4 cups water 1 can green chilies 1 can black beans 1 can hominy 1 cup corn (I leave this out because DH doesn't like it) 1 diced onion 3 cloves diced garlic cuimin chili powder Tortilla chips avocado green onions-diced jack cheese shredded 2 chicken breasts. 1tb oil Cook and cube or shred the chicken. Quick question - Would I be able to carry packages of baked goods on a plane? I'd obviously have them wrapped up and put in my checked luggage, but is that allowed?
