this only started recently not long after the new cards issued it worked fine before . I've tried full reset and planner upgrade and system update no luck the signal comes and goes every couple of seconds . So i can't record unless im watching that channel. Help

Got SKY+ in recently,can I take a feed from the new LNR to the old box to receive FTA channels,and if so why do SKY ask £30 for a card?

The morning after mine was installed, I noticed the fan was running constantly, and like you I switched off at the plug, only mine hasn't come on since.

Full functionality requires a separate Feed to each Tuner. You need to run a second cable from the Dish and probably to upgrade the LNB to a Quad.

That's what I felt too but does that mean faulty and needs replacement? Sound and picture are both OK using purely the co-ax connection.

Cannot really help except if there was one capacitor bulging i.e. ready to blow then there are more than likely others. It would be unusual for just one to be stressed.

If I've understood your requirement correctly, then just bung the magic eye into the RF In (Aerial Socket) on the TV. The Freesat Box has no RF In or Out and is independently connected as a source to the TV via SCART or HDMI.
