CCCam configuration question
Published (2009-11-26 03:26:00)
Hi guys, How do I get CCCam to default to my DB's internal reader? Currently it defaults to 'Network' and finds the card in the internal reader after three minutes of waiting. I have an Omnikey for my white Irish card and my TNTSAT card sits in the internal reader. The white card uses MGCamd and the TNTSAT channels are configured to use CCCam.

It seems a lot of people have trouble with setting up networks, so I will try to explain some terminology and their use. IP address : This is like a street address and uniquely identifies a computer on the network. Static IP address : A static IP address is assigned to a device when it is set up by the person installing the device. This IP address has to be allocated by a person that ...

Yes, it's been done but you can only use certain types of adaptors. The darkstar image from nabilo has the drivers preloaded. I'm sure if you can find an adaptor which has linux drivers for your platform, it can be done with other brands as well

Hi,
Can you clarify the reason you will not put the card in the internal card reader? Is it due to voltage?
Do I need to go and order a smargo smart reader? ;-)
Thanks,
Stvy

Reading through the forum at nabilo it seems a lot of people are having stability problems with 12, but that 11 works great and many have reverted back to 11. What are your experiences like? Would you recommend going to 12 or 11?

You can use IEPG 1 instead of Hip Hop. Just change it from a data channel to a tv channel with Dreamboxedit. Its FTA background music on the same transponder as Hip Hop. Carries the data stream.

Please refer to the following thread on another forum for details. Please note that the open discussion of setting up cs might deprive us from ever seeing this Cam, so it might be an idea for the administrators of this forum to create a closed membership, for invited/recommended members only, where these things are discussed, just a recommendation, and remove it from the open forum.

Hi mate,
The dyndns.org method will not work for me, no matter what I try. I've followed everything to the letter but I cannot connect to the dyndns server name with the commands or ftp. I just keep getting a 'network timed out' message in my browser. Any ideas?

Has anyone told you that you are in fact a legend!
Only had my 800 for a few hours, and am glad that I've held off until now to go and try to make my bouquets, as now I don't need to spend 12341234 hours doing it!

hi all,
i'm using the ver519 of OScam with card in the lower slot of the DM8000. ECMs in the region of 0.135-0.155 which are slightly slower than when it was working with CCcam + smargo ( 0.099-0.120) but working really well
i will later try using a smargo and will post my findings

Hi again guys. One more thing... I got another Sly IT card this morning, this time a 'C' type card.
Tested same, all working just fine.
Anyone wondering what the K and C are, its just the letter written to the right of the actual chip, no idea what it means but its good to know both working the same using this method.
See picture.
goro4111, I have no access to that card, sorry.
