Four if I've read it correctly as you'll need the sky receiver for payTV.

Don't worry about the omission - hands up anybody who hasn't done something daft at one time or another I wonder if the Cards require refreshing in a similar way to eg Sky Cards? If so, your permissions problem may resolve itself in relatively short order, providing you leave the box On or In Standby.

60cm Transparent Dishes
Published (2009-12-08 12:50:00)
Sorry, I mean the diameter, I am assuming that the sly dishes are all the same fitting, and that the bracket is only going to accept a pole up to a certain diameter? Actually looking at the pole this morning I am sure it will be ok. They seem to be about £30-40 online for Zone 1 and quad LNB, so may as well order one up and see what the fitting is like and what sort of v-bolt is needed.

Don't shoot me, promise? I really feel stupid but I suppose Ive got to own to it: I had not inserted the card ... because I did not know there was a card to insert. I would say for my defence that the card was well hidden in the package. Mind you, I still cannot have my old Alba receiver to work … So now I have all my channels. My only problem is that I have just lost two of them (TF1 and M6). They worked fine for a few hours...

hello from italy.are you seting up a smatv system for 5 to 10 flats or are you seting this up just for your flat?? if you are doing this just for your flat then how many sky or free view boxes total. if you are running 2 to 4 boxes the no multiswitch is required at all. a quarto has 4 outputs and they will run 4 boxes independent fron one another. you could run 2 freeview in 2 locations as well as sky plus with the hard drive inside and run 2...

A quad LNb should be fine (four feeds). You can also get an Octo LNb, this will give you up to eight outputs.

hello,
are you trying to hide the dish??
60 cm dish runs about 15 euro.
2 output lnb runs about 15 as well
if you are going to use the system a 60 cm should be ok in the uk.
80 cm solid runs about 20 euro.
i can not see paying 80 euro because its transparent unless you don't want it not seen.
mini dish is a 45 cm dish in that area.
a quad lnb is only if you are running 4 lines to 4 ...

When you say "And I can only recieve: Frequency 11822" what do you mean, can you get a signal and quality reading on that setting?
Can you watch CCTV 4 Europe or Telelombardia?

Don't rely on your assumption that the Dish hasn't moved - It may well have, as it only takes a small displacement sideways or down (they don't generally fall "up"!) to wreck alignment.
The other thing could be degraded cabling - physical damage or water ingress.

You should get a big improvement with a dedicated feedhorn and C120 LNB,
either the invacom or Inverto should improve things.

I've seen a "drawing" somewhere, where the Lnb for 28.2 is like 8- 10 cm apart from Hotbird. I just can't find it right now...
I have a small satbeeper, but you have to be sure that you're tuning the right satellite...

Define 'authentic'.
Anything in line with the dish will reduce the available signal, but fortunately the important stuff comes down at an angle of some 26 degrees, so you could put stuff directly in front to stop nosey neighbours knowing what you have.
Best way is to experiment in increments, if the signal breaks up, move back one step.

Keep your existing Sky minidish and put a quad LNB on it to feed your Sky digibox and perhaps a Freesat HD PVR, or FTA HD PVR, then look at the other dish separately, as a Sky digibox requires permanent connection to the satellite for updates and does not have DiSEqC.

As satellite man says try changing the rf output on one of the sky receivers, as both will be set to the same default channel (rf68), they will clash when they are connected to the super plus combiner unless both are set to different rf channels.
