Ok thanks - I've moved the dish to 1 West, scanned, and have picked up a load of channels from Digi TV, checking the listings from lyngsat.com, but nearly everything is scrambled. Does that mean I've done something wrong with the CAM? Thanks again guys.

You need to imput the updated keys, to add them manually go into the Cams menu, using your receivers options, and the following sub menus: Predator xxx Debug OhlAladin Digi TV Key 00 the last key change was 7/09/2009. To locate the keys, or an amended predator file, use a search engine and type in predator370 without any spaces, and you should quickly locate the keys.

I have not tried it myself but Hadu is reportedly working with Mediaportal and the MDapi plugin. Googling finds this: _http://www.satdudez.org/forum/showthread.php?p=653639 I think you just put the files hadu.dll and hadu.ini (with your server details instead of normal c line) in the plugins folder (TVServer side I presume or wherever MDApi is?) I use DVBViewer as it is more stable than MediaPortal, although MP 1.02 is a lot better than some...

Diablo: No ESPN after card exchange

A few days ago I got the message that I had to change my Sky card. So I put the old card, then the new card in my Sky digibox and the card exchange worked without any problems. The problem came a day later: That's when I found out that I cannot get ESPN America and ESPN UK any more using my Diablo cam. The funny thing is: Both channels work fine when I put my Sky card into my Sky digibox. How can I get these channels to work in my Diablo...

Remember the ESPN channels are premium content channels now - have a look around the forum to see if anyone has Sports or Movies working on a Diablo atm.

loads of other people are having similar problems.
Can someone please please tell me:
a. whether this can be fixed with a firmware update or whatever.
b. if not, if my t-rex cam will never be able to decode my new sly white card..........what will.
Just tell me what works out there and i'll buy it! please.

I thought someone might ask that!
The card is inserted with the chip facing upwards and towards the back of the CAM, in the same way I had my FTV yellow house card inserted.

Almost everything is secure scrambled these days - the great days of the cams is long gone - 2-3 years ago now!

Check with the sponsors, the first thing you need to do is find out which package owns the channels you want to view, then see how much a subscription card will cost, especially if you're outside the country of origin.
Check lyngsat.com for the various packages:

Canal Digital, 1W, upgraded their encryption a while back and is no longer available.
You can still open the Digi TV package, 1W, and the Irdeto 2 encrypted channels of Canal Digitaal, 19E, but not much else.

To open Digi TV you need to either manually update the keys or load an updated keys ...

Came around for an update check and saw Mickha's.
As a newbie, I'm not sure what the implications are.
Does this mean the "stuff" posted in the DB Ccam forums, such as Canal+ viaccess 3 will be available to all those with Diablo wi-fi, or do we need access to a DB Ccam to get the config strings?
What can the "average" sat person expect to get from this new protocol?
