Thanks guys, you all just made my day! The wood cage with the screen and the fold down door was actually a stereo cabinet that a buddy gave to me. I turned it on it's side, flipped the hinges around stapled the screen to the top, and the put a piece of plexiglass on the bottom. Then got a ceramic light fixture rigged up for light/heat. My girlfriend came over a few minutes ago and her first comment was "It's soo...

The best thing to do is to get away from these aquariums all together, I mean they are technically for fish anyway. Either a nice home built cage or a nice professionally built cage from a place like boamaster, boaphile, or animal plastics is the safest and easiest route to take.

i gave a 75 gal i was thinking about doing that to. It cant hold water so i thought this could be its fate. You just gave me inspiration to do it now. NOW to decide what to put into it! Geek Auto Linker or Gallon Geek Auto Linker Gallon - United States liquid unit equal to 4 quarts or 3.785 liters gal_register('gal_2_634940', '1', '1', '0', '0', '0');

Not to sure. Website doesn't specify. I would think so. Hopefully the glass won't get broken in the first case and have a chance to shatter.

I won't be buying any big cages soon, but for the future I had a question. What style cage do you prefer, let's just use a 4' x 2' x 12" cage for this question to make it simple. Do you prefer having a one door or two door system? boaphile has a one door system for some of their cages, and reptile basics has a two door with a pillar in the center for more strength. I want to ...

Well since I'm off of work until Saturday and don't have regular classes due to my Africa trip in a few days, I figured I'd work in the snake room to clean it up. I moved some boas and carpets that were in aquariums into my dividable four footers or the small arboreal cages. I then worked on emptying and removing this giant (5'x2'x6') metal restaurant rack that was in the middle of my room. I...

From Baby boas to big boas, what are the different size tubs you keep them in as they grow and get bigger. for instance maybe 6qt, 32qt, and so on. I have my 08's in 12qt tubs, and just skipped the 6qt to give them more room to move around. However I am a little stuck where to put them next, I was thinking just putting them in cb70 racks but that might be too big of a ...

Hey everyone, Within the next 3 to 4 months or so, I will begin making two new enclosures for my boas. I was almost about to give or sell my boas due to space issues I had at home. I have some space issues that will not allow me to make a traditional 6'x2'x2' cage(s). So, I'm going to have to make two virtical cages that can fit into corners of a room. There are not many threads out there ...

How come know one makes a rack system using the CB110 tubs, that tub seems like it would be a lot better for snakes such as boas with a whopping size of 19x39x6(roughly). Although it might be a lot more money I would think companys would make these maybe in an economy style like Animal plastics makes with less pvc. That tub just seems so much more useful for snake species who might ...

Well due to the awesome economy I am moving back in with my parents. This means that poor Freddy has to have her cage downsized. Shes going from a 4x3x4 (LWH) to a 5x2x3 (LWH). I guess life could be worse. Anyway im going nuts trying to come up with how exactly i am going to water proof the cage. I came across this product and was wondering if anyone used it and do you think it would work. It ...

So I went to clean out Alexander's cage today and I took off the undertank heater and there is a freakin set of like 4 cracks on the bottom of the tank... I'm ticked!! I checked Aurora's cage and her's is fine... I don't know why his cage is cracking like that?????? any ideas? It's a 20L tank, and yes it is a reptile tank, haha...what should I do? I'm prolly gonna go see if petco will do ...

Thanks, guys. I feel better. Brandon, I saw your tank pics in another thread. Thanks for doing that; they were helpful (although I still don't know which way to go ). Oh, well, either way will be much better than the 11 glass tanks we have in the spare bedroom.

I purchased this one from a Reptile show that we had in town. The enclosure is from Boa Master and was pretty straight forward on assembly. All I had to do was seal the bottom of the cage and was all set. Right now I am running 120 watt heat panel with a Ranco thermostat.

boa guy, how did this enclosure work for u and your boa? I need to build two enclosures but space is an issue at home. I was looking to make two enclosures upright like 6 ft tall each. What do u think about these types of cages? U think it will work? The dimensions i was looking at was 6'Hx2'Lx2'W. Can u provide how much ur cage cost and all the items u used to make it? I really like the wood u ...

Anyone have or have used Vision racks? I'm really interested in the 11 high cb70 rack. Pictures of your own are nice too.
