Bret, I dont know if you have replaced your part yet. I just found your post. I had the same problem. My fix is that I took the screw out, filled the hole with JB Weld, retaped the hole and easy fix. Total cost $10. put the screw back in and 2 years later still going strong. Now is this the screw stripped or the hole. If its the hole JB Weld works fine. If its the screw than you may be able ...

Hello, I am a new member and my first dilema is the following. I use a D3 and have a D300 as backup but have been saving to invest in a D3X but with reservations about noise. I am a hobby photographer shooting all subjects but impressed by the resolution that the D3X can produce - I print 17" x 22" on Epson. However out comes the D3S with high ISO low noise and video - so what to buy. Can ...

The pricey ($2400—eek!) new 70-200 ƒ2.8 from Nikon appears to be a major step forward in most ways, but there’s a fly or two in the ointment that you should be aware of: strange behavior wide open, some color shifting, and pincushion distortion at the long end.

Has anyone else encountered this problem? I am using a D70 that has worked great up until a few days ago. I can still shoot with it with no flash fine, but when I use the pop up flash, it fires but the image is not getting any light, so it is always underexposed. If I put an SB 800on top it fires and everything works fine. Any ideas what could be the problem? Thanks for your help Justina

wise decision Scotty, the price of the body has nowhere to go but down, IMO but the lens will stay at that price or higher in this digital era, only get the technology when you need it no need to think ahead I,myself is itching for a D700 I use to owned a D300/D80 until about 2 months ago, had an unfortunate incident of dropping my bag into the sea during a photo project for the ...

Back and forth I gather my arsenal. Last year I did a big billboard shoot where the advertiser asked me if I had medium format gear… I told them “yes, of course”. I shot the whole thing with my D300 in TIFF then handed the art director all the files… the billboards went up and nobody realized my bullshit. ffice ffice" /> It’s difficult to compete with the hoard of ...
