prelude/accord rear lip q?
Published (2009-11-29 21:51:00)
I put one on my rear bumper. Cutting is required for fitment and a little drilling but its very easy. There are two models of rear lips for accords in those years. I don't remember which one you need exactly but just look at pics of other ludes with it.

Here are JDM chrome nostrils. Very rare these days and many counterfeit examples exist. To tell a real from fake is simple. Just look on the back of the vent and you will be able too see that they are ivory bone color underneath. You can also see the white showing if there are any scratches in the chrome, even the slightest ones. A painted vent/nostil is black underneath. Here is a photo from the Honda Prelude JDM Accessory catalog I think...

+1 My rack started pouring the fluid as fast as you could fill it so I'm driving with the belt off until I have time to install a new rack to not burn up the pump and it ain't fun on a street car. Another word of advice is the ladies aren't gonna like your ride when they're sweatin in the summer and freezin in the winter.

95 Prelude Electrical Problem

You gotta pull the interior door panel off and its there mounted to the door. Its a small red box. I don't remember its exact location. Looks something like this: Door Lock Control INTEGRA 1994 to 2000 RK-0278 2 Door I'm not too keen on alarm wiring, but have you tried pulling the main fuse for your alarm to take it out of the loop and making sure it isn't causing the problem?

They're kind of right though, those stores don't carry specific dealer options for cars...other parts, yes, but don't expect them to carry gps factory options, fog lights, switches, trims etc.
keep in mind these are old cars and fog lights were a factory option so only fog lights out there are going to be in junk yards, online or from fellow prelude owners. There's no known aftermarket knock...

I'm going to ignore what you wrote about the transmission conversion. thats a whole other thread of conversation.
Realistically, I will advise if you are going to change the tranny, pull the whole engine. With the timing belt being replaced as well, it'll be easier to do everything outside of the car plus clutch etc.. Might a well get an exedy organic stage1 or better. if your flywheel ...

No other than it can be done with a 4th gen steering column, you just have to gut it and modify it.
There is a local person that will do it. Is it worth it? I don't think so, i would rather just put another steering wheel in. But it's your car and money.

I don't think anyone's ever done it.
I mean they have the same basic layout but I don't think they will just "attach"
You will most likely have to do some custom work. Also I think the rear seats in the 5th gen are slightly wider.

No, its not normal. Mine was whinning very loud even when I'm at a stop light idling. Your Balancer belt is too tight which will cause this annoying whine.
Do this at your own risk ! TDC the engine, back the adjusting nut off a quarter turn and tighten it back down to loosen up the balancer belt; you can do this with timing cover all still intact .
I have the H23 tensioner conversion...

Petern- Thanks for the information. I would love to talk with you further about how to reach Xander. Rowlette is good and close to me. I would be delighted if you wanted to swing by my house anytime you are in Rockwall. Heath is about 6 or 7 miles due south of my house. I live near 205 and 552 on the northern end of Rockwall. Thanks again for taking the time to respond. - John
