I think I found a thread that has the weight dif. http://www.newcougar.org/forums/exte...ed-pics-2.html stock hatch is between 50-60lbs the carbon fiber is 18lb

but on to doors.... nope, never going to happen. at least never if you don't have several thousand dollars to pay for one off parts and ABSOLUTELY FORGET about having a window or any type of waterproofing. speaking of which, I am need of a pair of door shells. if anyone has some leads, that would be appreciated.

The car in the picture has a factory paint color but the car has been repainted. I wouldn't trust bondo and touch up paint on holes that big.

if im not mistaken, flat head screw driver or clip remover for the top side of the bumper and 10mm ratchet with extension for bumper to quarter. should come right off.

Halo/demon eyes- get cold cathode 80mm computer fans or some guys on here make the pop can/led ones. Clear/smoked side markers- clear ones can be found here sometimes and i think from a ford parts place but i dont remember the link. HID- vvme is used most by us on this site. Its what i have and they work adn look great IMO

when i had someone run a stop sign and i het them, their insurents covered my car but the thing was that they wouldnt send me a check they made me take my car to a body shop to get fixed and gave me a rental, but i had to get everything stock for my car whitch sucked because i wanted to put a body kit on my car also.

havent seen one for a Cougar yet... I would imagine it would shave off nearly 70-80 lbs of weight per door, definitely if you gutted them completely and used Lexan windows (for track use only, not DOT approved!) Our doors are freakin' heavy as hell!

They're non-existent. Nobody ever made them for the Cougar. There are other options though.. GTS tailight covers and Vtech taillight covers.

I recently had a front end wreck in my 2001 v6 2.5ho and when I went to the dealer to check how much new lights were going to be they wanted $400+ for each. I ended up getting 2 used headlights on ebay from a 2000 model, which they say wont work for mine. Everything worked great all I had to do was cut out the key for the turn signal with a dremel and I was gravy! I'm sure any would work.. Hope ...
