The insurer and/or MIB is unlikely to believe the existance of the other driver without proof. I.e the OP crashed into a barrier and is blaming a mystery motorist to lowe their costs.

If you were a passenger in the car and you suffered injury then you must tell the insurance company and of course it is your right to claim if you feel it is appropriate. Different companies have different time scales for reporting claims but if it only happened last week then that won't be a problem. Just tell them the truth, explain the situation and say that you were not sure if it was the ...

Hi Andy
Thanks for your post.
iGo4insurance is what's called an "introducer appointed representative" for BDML. This means that BDML are responsible for the actions of iGo4 and iGo4 can get away with employing monkeys rather than people who can correctly identify the differences between their glutimus maximus and their humerus.
You need to get in touch with BDML. On their FSA ...

I'm insured for home and contents with Tesco. They sent me a renewal notice priced at £334. I went on a comparison site and Tesco quoted £266 for exactly the same cover.
The explanation given was "internet discount and "new customer" (despite not being.)
So never accept the renewal notice.

Okay, I just thought yesterday that what happens when I go off on holiday in the next couple of weeks?! If I am away I obviously can't go to the gym twice a week . Does this mean I am liable to pay £25?
It says on the website that the summary of monthly membership are based on average weekly visits over a three month period. Does this mean I don't have to worry as long as I maintain my 3+ ...

Firstly, dont compare pet insurance to car/home/contents insurance. Its completely different.
Secondly, what type of cover are you on with petplan? they do different levels of cover, if your cat is healthy what about downgrading rather than leaving it with no cover at all?

I've just bought a new car for £13,000 and have taken out Guaranteed Asset Protection insurance; it's costing me £16.47 per month and is payable for 24mths, but covers 36mths.
so if I write it off, this policy will make up the difference between what my insurance pay out and what I paid for the car.
How can I check if this is a competitive quote?

It's not a case of being blacklisted but you are entitled to see what information an insurer holds about you via a subject access request. A small fee can be charged for this.
The inability to get insurance elsewhere is simply because you are poor business to an insurer. At the end of the day they want to make a profit but you appear to be claiming for anything and everything on a regular ...

As a personal injury lawyer I'd advise that you don't need it. If an accident is not your fault then most solicitors will take your case on a no win - no fee basis so it won't cost you anything anyway.
If the accident is likely to have been your fault then your ins company won't cover the solicitors fees if they feel the claim doesn't have reasonable prospects of success so you woldn't be ...

I had a car accident yesterday. I was driving down a road where chicanes on either side only give right of way to one side of the traffic at a time. I drive down this road every day twice a day and it was my right of way, when a young driver of a red car forced me to drive into the bollard of one of these chicanes to avoid a head on collision. He was speeding at about 40mph. He drove away ...

But your "minor" breaches did result in a loss - they rated your car wrongly and undercharged you (as well as permitting you a lower excess which would have been a further loss to them had the breaches not come to light).

Hi there,
It sounds like you have been run through the mill. Don't panic and don't worry - people here will try to help you.
Let's deal with the letter you've received just now from Admiral. I find it easiest to give people names, so bear with me!!
Let's stick with the fact that your car was stolen by your "cousin" for now, but say that when he was run off the road he hit a car ...

Unfortunately you might not have much choice. Please tell me you have seen at least some of the atrocious reviews E&L have earned for using any possible excuse to wriggle out of paying out?
They are known in the Industry as 'Excuses & Lies' for a very good reason. You may need to find out if there are any legal loopholes that you can use against them because they will use the small print in...

It will be in your terms and conditions when you first took out the policy I'm afraid and you will have signed accepting this without reading the small print. more and more companies are doing this.
You could cancel it now but there will be a hefty cancellation fee.
You probably didnt read their renewal letter either, it will have been on there, no question.
sorry, you could ring ...
