Engraving photo into crystal -...
Published (2009-12-16 21:56:00)
There used to be a kiosk in the Bluewater Shopping Centre where you could get a photo engraved into a block of crystal (or acrylic or something!) which we used for the in-laws' golden wedding anniversary. And now I want to use it again, and of course it's not there any more. Ideally I'd like this by Christmas, so the online places are difficult because a) they're not guaranteed and b) one I looked at seemed to be insisting...

Good, reasonably priced driving...
Published (2009-12-07 02:24:00)
As someone who has never learnt to drive, I am very keen for my daughter to learn. She is 19 now so.... Does anyone know of any reasonably priced, good driving instructor and can recommend on in East London? I am not asking about driving schools, I can Google those - I am looking for personal recomendations. Either on the board or via PM with mane/location/phone number. My daughter is a student... Thanks a lot

Boots stuff going cheap in...
Published (2009-12-07 22:51:00)
Was in Liverpool the other day, there is a shop just inside Clayton Square shopping centre called Quarters. It sells really cheap (some of it really nice) jewellery, scarves and hair accessories. They had loads of Boots hair accessories, lovely beaded scrunchies and clips and stuff, that cost a fiver or more in Boots but now selling for 99p. Would make nice little stocking fillers. I also got a really nice sturdy blingy ring for £1.50 and...

Liverpool - anything for 6 year...
Published (2009-12-07 21:49:00)
museums are good for kids free and very entertaining there are a few in liverpool. Havent been to bug world but would like to hear peoples comments. Jump onto the ferry and do a round trip or get off at seacombe and do spaceport/and or aquarium. New brighton adventure land is good but further away from town still as is southport. enjoy Liverpool you can walk most of the town centre in about 2 hours

Carboot sales in Wakefield or...
Published (2009-12-08 14:01:00)
The Dewsbury Rugby one gets a bit quieter in winter, but if the weather is half decent it can still attract some good numbers. In summer its heaving. The bootless market stall sale is better on the weather front, but you have to lug all your stuff from the municipal car parks about 250 yards away. Also, if there's just one of you, you can't lock everything up and go to the toilet!! Also, I think its a bit dearer.

Delivering to a Preston Address.

You could see if one of the local supermarkets can deliver to product for you. Try Tesco, Asda or Sainsbury's - but check if they have a minimum delivery policy first!
