Where else are you going to bring the topic up? If you don't mention it; then how will they know? How to word it? Long-Term Objective; Exploring working abroad; preferably within this organisation; with a particular interest in X, Y or Y region Don't apologise for it!...and when asked tell them that was one of the things that attracted you to the company in the first place.

No, there is no liability on JCP staff to advise him of what he may be entitled to unless specifically asked the question. He would have been able to apply for both benefits (you in effect apply for IB JSA as an add on to the CB application), and it would have been up to him as to whether to supply the information required. The people that send out the award letters have absolutely no incentive to delay a claim.

I'll be a bit less nasty than other people here.... My only thought is that they would have known from your application form that you are a graduate and if they thought you were overqualified they would have not offered you the job (plenty of people to choose from I expect...). However, if you did not 'disclose' that you were a graduate until you had been offered the job, I would not be surprised if they were trying to get rid...

Why can't the OP just do what I said in the first place and ask the tax office to issue a code? Its obvious the P45 was going to be out of date. Only HMRC can now issue a cumulative code with nil previous pay and tax.

I was in a similar situation. I asked for my position on the list under the data protection and was told what number I was and how many there were. Maybe work a try. As far as I know there is always a waiting list. I know some people who've been on for two weeks or over 5 months. See where you get with what I suggested.

Firstly your dad need to get in touch with a union if he is in one, or contact ACAS and find out his legal rights. Secondly he should send his employer a letter by special delivery immediately asking politely what exactly he is suspended for and the specific allegations made against him. It should also state that the employer needs to reply to the issues raised in the letter within 7 days...

Tell him not to be late back from his break. As he is on probation still he needs to be extra vigilant, make sure he obeys all the rules and improve his time keeping.
