You shouldn't open anyone elses mail, it is protected by law. You must just return them to sender. When i did my placement in London i had alot of letters arriving for a previous tenant working out who had lived there it was well over 12 months ago. I opened one by accident instead of my bank statement and it was a debt collection letter. So i binned it and carried on doing what i did before, "Return to Sender - Not at this...

Did you send a account in dispute letter?

If they are a claims management company, what is their authorization number? (I'm making a bit of a hobby to report ones that make unjustified and misleading claims. )

LMC - I've seen your announcement and noted it in my brain. It'll be my listen again just for him *swoons* OK, had a talk with my tutor about me and group work (as in, I'm not very good or able at doing it well) And he did say they think the best course for me if I wanted to change would be Film and English. I like my course, but I don't want it to get where I can't go to group stuff if it's in smaller rooms, as...

Morning Budgeteers,

Ok budget for the week is £50 but this is to include dinner out of Thursday as I have a friend coming over from the Burgh. Going to see if I can convince her to go somewhere cheap so I can save some pennies.
I am going out for lunch today with a friend but I am not going to be counting that in this challenge I will be ...

Hi Ricky
Firstly, welcome to the forum.
Secondly, the Minsitry of Justice don't regulate debt companies, end of! I don't know who this company is but if they are spouting stuff like this then you need to not touch them with a bargepole.
I have know lots of people on here with debts higher than yours and less income manage their debts but the first step before you make any decisions ...

The debt legally exists all right, just it is unenforceable in the courts.
I suggest that you report them to the OFT and to trading Standards as the OFT have already put one DCA into special measures for this sort of thing.

If you are able to manage the payments right now, it might be easier to try to utilise the cards you have or possibly get some 0% or low interest for life of balance cards. This way you may be able to pay less interest, but have more flexability in paying off thatn you may have had with a loan.
Can you post up the limits on your cards too when you do the SOA?

Hi Spurs24
CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I bet that is a massive weight off your shoulders, especially just before Christmas. Well done. Is there anything in particular you did that helped you along the way, like a second job, cash back sites etc, or just pure hard saving, that we can all take inspiration from?
