Why don't you get the details from the horse's mouth. A simple phone call to ask for the complaints address would suffice.

Not sure about claiming the money back through the bank - there is chargeback but I'm not sure if it is relevant to your case. Give them the full 30d - a company I'm dealing with at the moment left it to the 30th day. If this milestone passes, then write to them (recorded delivery) advising them that have failed in their duty under the DSR regs and if they fail to credit your account in 14d, you will proceed without further notice...

Private seller still has to be truthful - eg if they were asked 'has this car you are selling every been in a serious crash', and they answer 'No', and you find out 2 weeks later that is was an insurance accident write-off and they knew that, then you've got a case. However based on what the OP is saying, this isn't the case here [albeit a dog cf a car, lol]? The seller didn't give any guarantees or...

They have therefore cancelled the contract if they have informed you the credit card was to be refunded. Read up on the Distance Selling Regs and then write an email advising them of their obligations to it, that they cancelled the contract, for them to make arrangements to return the coat at their cost and that they then have 30d to process a full refund.

Debts are associated with individuals, not addresses. Send the letters back - if you have opened them, then send a covering note along the lines: Mr <previous tenant> has moved away form the address and Steve1963 has been the occupier since <date>. I have not been given any forwarding address and <previous tenants> local family have been forthcoming. I regret that I am unable to help you ...

Unless the paint is faulty, the shop is under no obligation to take it back. That they are willing to do so on the "stock" paints is entirely down to goodwill on their part. I can understand why they are unwilling to return the paint to the manufacturer. Aside from the costs involved, there will be a lot of administration hassle. Perhaps you could come to some arrangement for a partial refund...

Have you kept copies of the receipts? If so, photocopy them agai and enclose it with another Invoice, clearly marked 'second Invoice' and post it to the Store Manager by Recorded Delivery, with a covering letter. I am unsure, but I would think if you don't have copies of the receipts, you may be the loser, as it is their word against yours. Cheers, HG

Hi I ran a red light last wednesday, has the light showed amber I accelerated to try and get over the light but for a split second it was red as I went over. Whether its justice or just unfortunate there was an unmarked police car behind me who came tapping on my window at the next set of lights. He and his partner sat me in the back of the car and issued me with a producer and a £60...

Most reputable breeders have a policy where you should take the puppy to a vet once it leaves the breeder to be completely checked over and if there are any problems, the breeder will take the puppy back and refund. Has your friend actually spoken to the breeder and what did they say?

No, the policy clearly states the theft insurance is supplied by another party and has a different complaints procedure hence you need to refer to the terms about the theft insurance rather than the seperate PC protection. I also would imagine even if by some miracle you did blackmail them into paying out it would be pennies due to the age.

Was this a council car-park or a private one? If the latter then you can ignore it. It's not a "fine" just an unenforceable invoice. For further information have a look at the parking fines section of this forum.
