Well all done, I don't know what they did - may just have been standard tracking but it is noticably better. No longer tramlines and the wheel points in the right direction. I'll wait and see how the tyres wear.

Two arms needed - bushes are part of the arms. IIRC they are the only arms at a diagonal. The MB parts man will point them out on their parts system I think it's #104 or #122. Those are repair kits complete with nuts, bolts & washers as needed For part numbers see http://www.detali.ru/cat/oem_mb2.asp...SGR=075&SGN=04 Nick Froome www.w124.co.uk

My mate had a s500 which did the lights thing on the mirror for about 1 minute after locking. We always assumed it was the 60 sec adjustment period for the noise level on the ultrasonic sensors inside the car to settle before arming.
As for the parkingbrake the cable may need adjusting up, have a look at some of the postings here for ideas....

its a pain to do ( no pun intended) but you could always put the box into park, then either try to cross your right leg over to press the parking brake, or use a crutch/walking stick etc to press the parking brake on.

Hi All
Long time no speak
Just got a replacement to my 210 - Love it except for the SBC noise - what is an 'acceptable' noise level? - How can I tell if a dampener has been fitted?
Cheers

Yes many have joined a new piece in, or if you do not it is a sub frame off job, the pressure is the same as for brakes and fittings for brakes should do just fine.
Our member herbiemercman did this job recently and others will see the post and answer

Hi,
I've a W208 320 T with approx 97K. I've replaced the fronts twice and rears once. Its about £105 for a set of front or rear pads and discs. MB parts seem reasonably priced but fit them independently to avoid high labour charge. Last time I bought generics from the company that supply MB (marginal saving, reportedly slightly better braking, venting on the disc and wear but will need more ...

Just jacked the rear wheel up to clean off the inside of the wheelarch and treat it, but I can't get the wheel off!! It seems to be "welded" to the hub. I've tapped all round it at the join, but no luck. Anyone any ideas?

It will be the seal that is squeaking.
MB were supposed to be addressing this problem with a new type of fluid, but I am not sure if they have done anything about it yet
