Welcome to the forum I don't think it will stay on for 2 hours as they usually cut out after an hour to ensure you don't flatten the battery

Ah sorry that section was a typo. I mis read your post thinking it was just over to 2k not 5k. Sorry. Thinking about it like that with MB's labour charges it seems realistic and AMG wheels aren't cheap.

I recently had the new 5 series GT for a test drive. I liked it in many ways. Ride was good in comfort mode except on really bad surfaces (as Autocar found too in the recent issue). Cabin was stylish and less bland than normal BMWs. Seats comfy. Performance excellent but the rear seats don't fold flat, there is very little height in the rear compartment, and rear visibility is poor. Some will like it but not enough luggage and dog space...

The fault on a 203 is normally the amp thats in the C pillar, If it was OK before you did the change from the original then the thin center wire in the aerial plug is broken near the plug http://www.detali.ru/cat/oem_mb2.asp...SGR=345&SGN =19

I love what you have said and this is the feeling that many of us get. Your CC problem will be because of the BAS fault and there is a good chance that the one on the rear axle has failed after you Stig antics. Do use an indie that knows the cars, and not a normal garage

Seems a little cheap to me, could be it has a CAT C or D attached that the seller isnt telling about. Nice looking car though the new A class, I also liked the C you put up for sale. jib

I bet if you free the breaks off, give it a wash, a thrash down the road to the MOT station it will pass. And Mercedes parts are not dear, I should know, I buy enough! I wish I was nearer, I'd help you with it. Good luck Tony

I've just booked my 2001 SLK320 for an A service at MB Exeter. It's a second car and doesn't get driven very much so it's a time-prompted service (it's about 2 years since the last one). I was a bit surprised to be told that the cost would be about £700. It seems that Mercedes now won't stamp your service book unless you get all the advisory stuff done - I forget how many ...

A couple of questions - on offer are two E Class estates, both 320 Avantgarde with Command, Phone, Sat Nav etc. One is an 05 and one is an 06 facelift model which is lower mileage and a couple of grand more - can someone tell me what the difference is other than minor cosmetic changes, and how ...
