Not sure why everyone is having so much trouble shifting into 2nd. If it's bucking, slow down your clutch engagement slightly and apply only maintenance throttle (ie just touching the pedal) until you feel the clutch start to engage. Once the clutch starts to grab in 2nd you can start giving throttle gently whilst releasing the clutch pedal the rest of the way. I do the GM style skip shift from 1-4 when Im just putting around and then go...

If this behavior is worse than the tires you replaced, then likely a) the tires are so new that they are greasy, and/or b) the tires are not as good as your last set.

nothing bad except potential speeding tickets and maybe lower gas mileage!!! No, seriously nothing bad will happen to it if you use it often. You may find that your clutch technique will be different for on and off so you may watch out that you dont slip the clutch when its in sport mode.

I think if you want the stock look, just get rid of the vented hood. It will look more or less stock then. And to answer your question, I think your M5 looks good stock and modded, so just go with your gut. afc1

Yep,replace the O-rings as well.The tensioner is quite easy to change,no special tools needed!Just leave in the new one the clamp thst secures the tensioner until it is in place!
