TPI Fan Wiring For Switch
Published (2009-07-07 15:59:00)
That's weird, but even still, the switch only grounds it when you want it to, like maybe before the ECM calls for it, it still allows for it to operate normally if you don't put it on yourself. So it's not like this would somehow disable the fuel pump.

Forgot to reinsert my oil breather into my valve cover after adding oil to my truck therefore losing it. Bought a new one, put it on the truck, but now oil shoots out of my dipstick all over my exhaust manifolds making lots of smoke. Tried to blow through the breather but its hard to get air to pass through but it does when you blow hard so I'm thinking the added pressure in my crankcase is causing it to find the easiest way out, through...

A friend of mine was asking me to make a manual fan switch for his 88 GTA(5.7 TPI) and I said I probably could, but wasn't sure on the wiring. Do they have the same setup with the turn on wires going right into the ECM that can just be grounded with a switch to turn on the fans? He said it does have 2 fans it. Anyways, just lookin for the color/letter on the connector for what wires are ...

So If this isnt the craziest timing issue ever ... try finding the timing marks for this engine .. I have found 3 different timing set-ups all claiming correct ... yet none of them work. I have found crank 12 cam 6 (HEI rotor pointing at #6) crank 2 cam 6 (HEI rotor pointing at #1) crank 12 cam 6 HEI pointing at #1 (like ...

Okay, in my last post on SBC heads, I've narrowed my choice to either Chev Fast Burn or AFR Eliminator. I have also been considering induction systems. For detroit iron I've always preferred carburation, but my experience with a race prepped Mazda RX-7, tuning with a haltech has made me consider alternative options. I have looked at the Edebrock Pro FlowXT system ( www.edelbrock.com...

Hello there. Noobie here. I think I already know the answer to this question, but I'll ask anyway. I am in the process of starting a build on a mouse for my '59 Vette. I have a good four bolt truck block from the seventies (I believe) and had given some consideration to trying some '92-'97 aluminum LT-1 heads on the engine. However, I am guessing the reverse coolant flow of the LT-1...

I'm sticking with the Roadmaster and I've read a lot of stickies since I've been on this site about how a stock LT1 block + a turbo kit = certain death. Obviously, the 10.5:1 CR stock doesn't help, so anyways, I was wondering what cam upgrade you guys would suggest for the Roadmaster. I've read on a lot of other sites that putting...
