What about making a batch of soup? That way, if you're hungry but don't feel like eating something denser and heavier like meat, eggs or cheese, you would have the lighter option.

Changing My Goal Weight
Published (2009-11-07 08:17:00)
I'm reading Protein Power by Dr. Eades. He has a great section on how to calculate your body fat and personal goal weight. My goal weight should range from 111-120 according to my calculations. I'm going to change my goal to 120 and see how I feel from there. So far, I'm getting a lot of info out his book. I am interested to get to the part where he reveals his plan.

My experience is that if you tell them you want a non-glucose IV they ignore you. If this is an issue, you must get the DOCTOR to order the non-glucose IV. However, they will argue that blood sugar drops during surgery and ignore you too. My surgeon scheduled me very early in the morning because I was diabetic and I went home the same day because she said the hospital was the worst place to recover. If you do have to stay in the hospital they...

Brekky: Lettuce, cucumber, red onion, dill pickle, half a can of tuna, two tablespoons of mayo and 1oz double gloucester cheese. Lunch: One peperami. Dinner: Sea bass. I'm not sure what to have with it yet. Either another big salad with ranch dressing or some kind of buttered vegetables. Snack: A celery stick with natural peanut butter if needed.

I freeze my oopsies all the time. They'll thaw out pretty quickly and they're great!! Just be sure to put something in between them or wrap them individually. Otherwise, they'll stick together.

Fur shur, man!
I grew up with a mom who, well, suffice it to say, had a circular burner mark on her only cookbook. The seventies were a time of pot pies, tv dinners and whatever was as cheap and easy as Lindsay Lohan.
Now I spend so much time in the kitchen, my office is right across the room. I'm never far from the food that nourishes my family.

I think a lot of Atkin's followers worry about it because Dr. Atkins said in his book if you eat less than 20 carbs you will lose weight if you eat less than 20 carbs and reduce calories you will lose weight even faster (not a quote just what I recall) think people really find the word "faster" appealing. I do except I rarely feel satisfied under 1700 calories!

It's going to be different for each person depending upon how much they had to lose, etc. etc.
When I went from 188 to 156 within six months of doing Atkins-- by the book, with no cheats--I could really tell. I was down a few jeans sizes and I was able to wear a size 12 dress to my sister's wedding. I knew I was still a little heavy, but I didn't feel or look "fat" anymore.

I think the whole point to Atkins is to be healthier through what we eat. I track carbs first and calories second. If I think the calories is high, I try for leaner proteins such as chicken and fish but not fruits....adding more carbs is not the solution for me. Being aware of the nutritional value of the foods you eat can be of great benefit for a variety of reasons....

After having the same experience (7-8 charlie horses and foot cramps a night), I did some research and discovered they mainly occur due to lack of magnesium and dehydration. I immediately started taking Bluebonnet Chelate Minerals w/magnesium (3 a day), and drinking more water. They totally disappeared within a few days. I am now swearing by it.
