I don't know, I think that if you ran a survey asking if a person was interested in health first and weight second vs weight first and health second... health first might win. Of course, most people think that weighing less is, by itself, "healthy", regardless of actual health. They could see a skinny person with ulcers and cancer and think "healthy", and see a fat person with no issues and think...

Beezle, take Phenylalanine for those diet soda cravings. The scale is never an accurate measurement of success in my opinion. For some, it can actually be disastrous. I used to weigh daily and in the past 2 months do not get on the scale but once a month. Hey, where's the OP?

I don't have one, but from what I've heard, the Wii Fit gives you a really good workout. But I've also heard that it's kind of rude to you.

Are you eating enough fat? The only fiber I get is from whatever foods I'm
eating, and I'm always regular.

I can not have just one bite of anything that will trigger me to binge (even lc foods). I even have to eat the same foods every day for awhile so that the smallest bite (of even allowed foods) won't trigger me. After I have invested time into my diet (approximately a month), then I'm confident that I will not ruin it by eating badly. I'm an all or nothing type of person and I know myself ...

So far I've gone from a 9-1/2 wide to a 9 regular. I no longer have swollen feet in the evenings either.

Left-over skin after reaching goal?
I have this real fear that once I'm at goal, I'll still have a whole load of extra skin hanging around. I'm sure everyone has seen pics of people who were very obese/overweight who have now lost all the weight ( ) but still have a lot of skin around their abdomen and underarms hanging down?
How can ...

Which LC plan are you following? Should you perhaps look at something with slower losses, but with a less stringent plan?
I was a perfectionist for years. Years and years and years and years. What it comes down to is finding a plan you can live with. Try Dr. Thompson's Low Glycemic Load plan. No food is verboten, I was never hungry, and his book is fantastic! You eat on day 1 what you can eat ...

When I was 25, I was a size 0. Pregnancy... Anyhow, I remember going out to eat with my future husband, and ordering a kid's meal. I could never finish it. He thought it was rather funny. He doesn't think that anymore! I can polish off a big grown-up meal now. I have noticed that my appetite has shrunk since I've been LCing.

The ball is in your court. Make lots of Low Carb friendly dishes to serve your guests. Last Thanksgiving I was only 1 week into this WOE and I brought a couple of casseroles with me to my mom's and I ate them as well as the turkey (& skin!) and stayed on plan! You can too. Make sure you have a low carb alternative at dessert time. I will be bringing Jody's Pumpkin Bake to share and eat ...

I don't eat if I'm not hungry.
I follow Dr. Atkin's advice - eat until you are satisfied. When hungry, eat.
Seems to work for me
