I had planned a lovely day in the garden.... but my wakeup headache got worse, progressed to a migraine. I get a lot of migraines. I am intolerant of: Grains (all) Nuts (all), and nut oils Sunflower seeds and oils - possibly pumpkin seeds and oil Chocolate Dairy, milk and all yogurts (OK with hard cheese and heavy whipping cream) I am curious to get opinions from people. Using fitday, I have figured out that my diet is pretty deficient in...

Just got a quick email from my doc - she said the sleep study showed "periodic body movements, 6 times an hour" - which to me means basically about every 10 minutes!! also said, "no sleep apnea" and "otherwise normal"...yeah - but moving every 10 minutes isn't "normal!" lol. that's not surprising at all. I would LOVE to be able to sleep withOUT moving around all...

Wow. 6 weeks. A long time And, any time you wake up, that's not good Well, I kind of wake up, but not fully awake. I am sure I'm not as rested as I could be because of it. Just hope that meds help you. Sometimes they have to be adjusted, etc. and not all meds for for everyone, you just have to find the right dose and kind I guess.

The tests for thyroid will be a Free T4, Free T3 and TSH (although don't let that doctor or any other tell you that TSH is the 'Golden TEST' cuz it's not..it's a test of how the pituitary is affecting the thyroid while the FT's are the actual levels of hormones). FT4 should be about midway of it's range, FT3 should be slightly higher and TSH should definitely not be over 1. TPO AB will be something good to...

I generally get irritated over the commercials. All of them, But this year the kid in the commercial for QVC or home shopping or whatever dances on my last nerve, with "opening presents is fun, Gingerbread is fun, Presents are fun, The tree is fun, Presents are fun" Buy more gifts...Buy buy buy... Sigh. If not for the baby I wouldn't even decorate. That and my Nativity sets ( I think I have 21 now) and I really love...

Thank you. I am going to pay closer attention. I ordered the primal book and look forward to reading it. I do take niacin and fish oil . It was also suggested to me to only eat about 4 ounces a day of fruit since I do have small LDL. So I do try to keep it under control in that regard. We do cook with olive oil but I am trying to use it on my greens as of late. Is this what you mean with olive oil? So is there a ratio chart I should look at as...

Low triglycerides are GOOD and not a sign of anything except that you're eating properly (low sugar). With a high HDL and low triglycerides, it's probable that your LDL is the "big, fluffy" kind that's actually good for you. My endo recently tested my LDL, and that's what I have. He told me that in his experience, patients with high HDL and low trig. always have the 'good' LDL, so the number...

Those are awesome numbers. I regularly deconstruct people's cholesterol numbers for them over on Mark's Daily Apple; here's the same thing for you.
I'd be willing to bet money that the LDL was calculated, not measured, and that calculation (known as the Friedewald equation) doesn't work when trigs are under 100, as yours are. It overestimates LDL.
A quick rundown:

Amber, a fabulous book is "Natural Cancer Strategies" by Russell Blaylock.
We too often face cancer when we're diagnosed. In this world currently, we all must live like we do have cancer in hopes of not getting it.

Well, I hope you feel as good after your hysterectomy as I did after mine! (Seriously, I was in so much pain and felt really sick before, and within a couple of weeks I felt better in a lot of ways...although I know the first few days are gonna be rough).

thanks for that link, heather! I know I am NOT full blown diabetic (been tested, was diagnosed Insulin Resistant, have that under control now with lowcarb!) but the idea of Neuropathy is interesting. As far as being sensitive - it's mianly just my feet that I absolutely can NOT have people touch...but I will def. be researching it before my doc's appt wednesday!

Another poster called me the Lithium Queen.
I LOVE THE STUFF!
I have a really bad form of the disorder:
Seeing things
Hearing things
FEELING things - Invisible bugs on my skin
Cycling rapidly
Wrong/Bad thoughts in my head ( delusions)
Paranoia
Mixed episodes (up and down at the same time)
Not only does lithium help, it helps fast. I feel better within an hour or ...

I think that's what I've experienced over the years. The first time was when I was at my heaviest and pregnant. I hit my highest weight then at 344. At times it got a little irritating, but mostly a numb, annoying tingly feeling..... but never painful.
It did go away when I lost weight, but I just gained some back and noticed that it's occuring again. I'm back on track to losing, so I ...
